Does anyone have a good source and part number to accomplish this ..?
I installed these in mine a couple years ago. Almost as bright as the stock headlights.

1156 type bulbs is what I found. I ordered some bright led 1156 type inserts on Amazon
I have bright LED’s as my brake lights. Probably 1156 bulbs. Much brighter than the stock brake and tail lights.
I ordered the LED bulbs listed in the link above but they do not fit my F3 socket. The 1156 bulbs are too big in diameter. Has anyone found an LED reverse light to fit the F3?
It's not bad. The only hard part is removing the trim piece below the trunk. The sides that are below the passenger hand grips is a pain to get out and back in place with breaking the tabs off. Then it's simply unbolting the tail lights and pulling them out so you can get to the back side.
Look up a YouTube vid on installing a trailer light adapter. That will get you right where you need to go.
I got rid of the incandescent turn signal bulbs and reverse bulbs with much brighter led replacements. Glad I did it. Made a big difference..!
I unfortunately did the same thing, now I get to return them. I have looked in the owners manual and there is NO information on any of the bulbs. I did a vehicle search on another website and it provided this same bad "too big" bulb. I took the bulb out and took a picture of it since the writing is too small to read and I believe it says 12356 on it but who knows if that's the equivalent of the 1156 or whatever the other bulb numbers are. I'm going to look around and see if I can find an LED replacement (so far no go). I have found a phillips non LED replacement, so I think I have the number correct.
I think I found one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/VEHICODE-6413...2484583&sr=8-5
Here's another F3 reverse light LED but it uses more wattage, so unsure if it's a good idea or not: https://www.amazon.com/NSLUMO-LED-20...2484583&sr=8-8
I just ordered the ones above and they're due tomorrow so I'll see if they're the right thing then. Also just so all the replacement LEDs for turn signals/rear running/brake/turnsignal lights are in one place, here is what I've already used in our F3's.

As far as hyperflash -- I have LEDs all over my F3S and when I first added some of them, I got hyperflash all the time and I was able to resolve it using Lamont's fix. With the new front turn signals and rear brake/running/turn signals, they are "normal/slow" when I'm stopped but when I'm moving they start normal and after a few seconds they then flash faster. I think I like that so I'm planning on leaving them as they are.
WRT RT installation as EdMat saidRemoving and replacing are about equal difficulty and risk to the front tab (both of mine were broken by the previous owner). What makes it a pain are the U-nuts. Maybe a quick spritz of WD-40 would help. The only solution that works for me is just to keep fussing moving each side back and forth, up and down. Then suddenly it pops out/in. Be patient.Quote:

Remember on that trim piece there is a tiny tab in the center by the catch that has to be under the lip or your lid may be hard to close.

The reverse LEDs in the amazon link above worked for the F3. Just installed and it's SO BRIGHT!
