The OEM battery is a Yuasa and they're generally recommended as a very good battery; you can get them with the acid already added or "dry" with a separate container of acid. Some people use aftermarket batteries; Lamonster Garage sells both OEM and aftermarket.
Limited number of factories making batteries and everyone slaps their label on them. I am currently running a Duralast from Auto Zone and it is as good as anything else I have used in 50 years of riding.
I currently am using a Moto Batt battery I purchased from Lamonster Garage about 2 years ago. It has been a good investment so far. No problems at all. I would think any battery Lamont at Lamonster Garage would sell you for your Spyder would be a good battery. He knows what Spyders need for voltage to start and run great. So my opinion is you can’t go wrong with a battery from Lamonster. Hope this helps you make a good decision on your next battery.
This day and time go Lithium. Lamonster sells them or Amazon
Yuasa website, and other battery sites, still state that Yuasa powersports batteries are made in Pennsylvania. According to their website they do manufacture batteries in plants all around the world and they claim the manufacturing standards are the same in all the plants. So :dontknow:
Can I ask, are you needing to replace the battery already?
I'm just curious since I am new to Spyder Life.
Purchased a new Drag Specialties (made by Yuasa) YTX24 in late July. Box showed made in USA.
In this day and age of spin and lies....that could mean the box was made in USA
