Very nice, thanks
Great trip report. I followed your trip on google maps. I would love to see your country sometime. It seems so diverse.:thumbup:
Great shots of some awesome scenery. Thanks for sharing your great adventure. Loved the pub photo's
Awesome Pics-- Thanks for sharing. I noticed that on one of the pub pics was a route 66 sign. USA I presume :clap::clap:
Undoubtedly contributed by one of your countrymen. Interestingly, the Stuart Hwy which runs south from Darwin to Alice Springs then Port Auguata has echos of Route 66. The northern railhead was at Alice Springs and just a dirt road north to Darwin. A single lane bitument road 900 miles long was constructed during WW2 after Pearl Harbour when the Japanese military threatened and later bombed Darwin and other parts of the northern coastal areas. Many of your US servicemen were involved it getting it built in record time so that wartime supplies could get from Alice north in good time. 'No doubt about the yanks,' I remember my dear old Mum saying.
Great foto,s. Thanks.
Great pictures. Austrailia is one of my "bucket list" items.
