Whats wrong with using the ball that has key ring hole in it that came with the fob , fob just attaches to that ...same way it attaches to bike.
Don't trust it, that it won't fall off hanging on my keychain, which I hang on my belt loop.
that always worries me too..
Came with Ryker
Mine is pretty tight on the fob, no way its falling off. Need 2 hand pull just to separate them.
You saying you got one with and one without a hole for a key chain split ring? Mine came with two identical with the exception that one of them has a ball with split ring and it fits into the key. I'd prefer a ring on the key itself so I'm going to drill one of them like Spyderl did.
KID, It looks like in your photo that someone modified the original fob with something around the end where the 'indentation' is. I might try super-gluing a 'loop' before drilling. Not sure how secure that might be though (super-glue does not always bond tightly enough!)
The key for the Maverick (ATV) and the Spark (watercraft) has the loop key chain provision which all can be programed to the Ryker if you need that type of key.:doorag:
I followed Spyderl's lead and drilled my extra 'key'. Worked like a charm. It has now become my primary 'key' and the extra will find a secret place to live. BTW, they fit perfectly in a 35mm film canister (remember those??)
A zip tie and a lanyard work great great for me. If the knob end plastic ever fatigues (due to repeated plugging & unplugging), and it will eventually, I won't lose my key going down the road!

Hi KyBill I fully agree when on fob its tight and needs a good pull to take it off regards Nico 75
I wonder if Silicone Spray would help lubricant the claw end to make it easier to put on and off. This stuff works good on plastic and rubber things. ;) cueman
