Valley Springs...temps in the 80's. Last couple days rain showers and looks like more today. We are getting short rides in between showers. Glad for instant radar...we can see how far away the wet stuff is.

As of today" we are in our 6th day "of the Heat Wave" here in Vermont.
I am not complaining, before I know it will be time to bring out the sleds! ( off topic).

I dunno about 'heat-wave' Deanna, I know it's not something you're really used to in that part of the World, but it sounds very much to me like you're experiencing a fairly mild 'Aussie Summer' over there!?! :dontknow:
So just get out & enjoy the Ryding! You are absolutely right about it not being too long before you'll be getting those sleds out again - doesn't time just fly when you're having fun!
Here in the Adelaide Hills where I live, we are well into our Winter now, with the overnight low temps (in °C) getting well down into the low single digits (if not sub-zero) & the max day-time temps only reaching the low teens at best; plus we're getting heavy fogs & cold drizzle most mornings; a few heavier rainy days; and nothing much better for the foreseeable future! The weather's really putting a dampener on my early morning rydes atm, and I must admit that I may have just skipped a couple of particularly cold &/or wet days; but then, on those few days where the early morning fog & drizzle has cleared up a little so we've seen a bit of sun, I've compensated by adding a few 'daytime rydes' too, so I'm still ryding most days! Still, there are days when I really miss those crisp clear 'snow day' mornings I used to enjoy so much! Who'da thunk it?! :yikes:
103*F in Bishop, Ca. To hot for much fun.
:coffee: Welcome back to Summer. Today's high will be 82°F and sunny. Tomorrow the high will be 85°F with sunshine. Gotta get the grass cut sometime soon. Have a fun day and Ryde when you can. .....
Two or three days of sun and more 80's coming our way in Valley Springs. We are going to ride each day. It is currently in a dry spell, so the grass has slowed down. Going to get 10 days or so out of the last cut.
The weather people said expect some showers and a little cooler in a couple days. All in all, I think it has been a pretty good June here.
I’m glad for the sun, I had a serious Spyder tan going on.
Peter,
Over here, last month we had 4 seasons,in one month, which is very unusual.
"LIFE has gotten in the way". I am dealing with something very personal now in my life. My Spyder is my way OUT, and the winter my "Sled is my OUT. I posted a thread ( "titled I am not on this sight, In that thread I posted some reasons why I am not on this site much, and I asked for people to respect my privacy).
Our winter months start in Nov. and end in March/ April. We get snow
storms, and cold spells, and sometimes a blizzard.
Yes, time surely flies by when you are having fun.

:coffee: Weather People have been saying rain is coming all week. Hopefully they are right soon. The grass is starting to get brown. I only water the garden and it is starting to look poorly.
Today's high will be 88°F and sunny. Tomorrow's high 79°F and Rain (I hope so). Sunday 84°F with sunshine.
Enjoy your weekend and be healthy. .....
Valley Springs, still mostly sunny, it was 90's yesterday. We did a 100 miler anyway. Also getting predictions of rain here, but still dry. Going to mow today, but there are some brown spots too.
Just got back from riding the Beartooth and Chief Joseph Highways, and really have a new appreciation for just how radically different NOAA and all the other weather forecasters' language is to mine. Apparently. "Mostly sunny, calm, and 10% chance of precipitation" actually translates to, "Overcast, heavy sideways showers, and a tornado siren". Back in Sheridan, Wyoming, we are "hot and dry" today (93 degrees F), so I'm expecting to get wet and maybe run into some hail as we ride to a local rally for a bike blessing...
:coffee: Well, the long wait for Rain finally came to Indiana. I got 2" of Rain over the weekend. The Weather People say that we still need some more.
Today's high will be 88°F and sunny with a 50% chance of Rain. Tuesday 86°F and some sun, 60% chance of Rain.
I say bring on the necessary Rain ...🌧 ...😌. Enjoy your Day and stay safe. .....
Valley Springs: 80's and sunny so far today. 10% chance of rain today and 20% tomorrow. It will jump to 40% on Wed and Thur...but that's another month.
:coffee: YES, 'Tizz the end of June'. Tomorrow will be the next chapter. So get your local 'weather news reports' and join us for some interesting news.
I Hope to hear from you. .....
Valley Springs: Thunder rumbles this AM...but no rain. The map shows the precip is NW of here, partly cloudy now. 80's again.
