"This is Joan. If Lamonster could tell you what’s in his head and on his heart it would be this message. Please listen or read the lyrics. Words like God, good and evil come up a lot in the past week. I don’t think I could give an update and still maintain his dignity so this is your message. He’s experiencing many emotions trying to come back to us. It is his story to tell. I’m not sure when.
His liver is doing better. I believe the meds they gave him to counteract the rejection were a neurotoxin to him. I respectfully voiced my opinion to many doctors each time they did rounds. They were attributing his behavior to the steroids. They did stop the medicine that same day but not before it could clear his system and cause seizures which put him on a ventilator. And he spent the weekend before that in a steroid induced psychosis brought on by the 250mg of IV steroids every 12 hours. I now take turns with his son Alex on sitting by him. Please pray for Lamonster to allow his body and mind to rest. We all need him. "

Adding my prayers.:pray::pray::pray:
Still praying.
Anybody hear how he’s doing
I read the last post…… wow…… life is fragile.
Hi Joan - I read the lyrics to Pass It On by Bob Marley and these lyrics were important for all us -
"Be not selfish in your doings
Pass it on (pass it on, children)
Help your brothers (help them) in their needs
Pass it on
Live for yourself and you will live in vain (Luke 12:20-21)
Live for others, you will live again"
The biblical reference is in the original song and it captures how all of us can be enriched by living for others. Many here are praying for and sending well wishes to you and Lamont, taking time to think about you both and your families.
Still praying and thinking of you
Latest update:
"Lamonster just got transferred out of ICU for the third time! We’ve been in the hospital fighting rejection, a blood infection and some seizures and tremors from the strong anti rejection medicines being used to save his liver. Today marks 2 weeks in the hospital since his readmission. I couldn’t make updates because he kept going downhill. This is a good update so I wanted to share and thank you all for the love we feel. Today he is also 3 weeks post transplant. Our love is stronger than ever and our faith in God has never been stronger throughout. "
Good news thanks Pirate, let us continue or prayers.

Thanks for the update.

Praying
Any updates??
We need to add Joan to the prayer list. It appears that the whole medical situation with Lamont is also having an adverse effect on her. I have read some back and forth on FB discussing the situation.
Bottom line at the moment:
Lamont is still very sick. The neurotoxic drugs to save the liver are having an adverse effect on Lamont. He is not himself.
Thoughts and prayers for Lamont's recovery, and for Joan and family who are enduring the ordeal.
Oh my, does not sound encouraging, continue the prayer as Traveler mentioned.
 I am praying for Healing and Strength during this time of great need. ........
The update in post #92 is from 5/27/21.
The post has been deleted to avoid confusion.

ARtraveler has already posted the latest. Joan keeps it up to date, when she can.
Joan posted this yesterday........
Another bump in the road with Lamont’s liver transplant recovery. He will be readmitted again to the liver transplant floor. Thank you for your prayers.

This is the latest update posted, LifeLong….. by Joan, on 10th June….
Lamont will not be released from the hospital today. His liver enzymes started going up again so they did another ultrasound of his liver to try to find the root cause.
