I do my own oil and filter changes as well as adjusting the belt. My Spyder is two years old with 24,000 miles on it and it has been trouble free. It is a complex critter, but no more so than the cars and trucks we all have sitting in the driveway. Car tires, shock stiffeners, wiring for our heated gear, XM radio and Bluetooth for the wife, belt tensioner, windshield, and a few "safety" lights all have been installed and adjusted by me. If you can bleed and maintain the "whizzy" brakes on an oilhead you can handle Spyder maintenance. This site is a great source of info. :2thumbs:
