Has anyone tried these on their Spyder?. I just changed my brake pads and was thinking about flushing a bit of the old fluid out. Wondering if anyone has any reviews on this style bleed system..

Never used Speed Bleeders on either of the RTs but I've had them on just about everything else I've owned (except for the current leased Honda CR-V). If you want to work on the brakes or clutch and you don't have someone else to assist, this is the only way to go.
There's quite a bit of discussion about them & their use here already - most of it strongly supportive! A basic search on 'Speed; + bleeders' shows quite a few pages of information:

Mazo, you mean you have really missed all the good discussions about them on here over the past few years? I can hardly believe it!!!! :dontknow:
Here's what I recently posted about doing a brake flush. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...ush-the-system. In post number 12 I say,
There are several other positive comments regarding Speed Bleeders in the preceding posts. Get them! You won't go wrong!Quote:
Got the flushing completed today. First off I gotta say Speed Bleeders are the cat's meow! They make the bleeding process almost fool proof!
Look...the speed bleeders are God's gift to the DIY brake flush....there is no way to do it without someone helping unless you have speed bleeders and installing these is no issue whatsoever. These allow you to do the flush with no worries about getting air into the lines. Do it!! If your cheap....just buy one bleeder and move it around each caliper...but these are about 7$ so its 21$ plus I thinks 5-6 $ shipping.
Speed Bleeders are GREAT. I installed a set on my previous 2013 STS.
I will be installing a set on my F3 at the first major service interval.
.
A big +1 on the speedbleeders.
As above, I have used them on my past bikes, and they work great. That said, when the time comes to flush out the old fluid, I will be adding the bleeders :)
+1 on Speedbleeders. Just replaced rear pads and flushed. IMHO worth a try.

I'm overdue for my brake fluid change. It was supposed to get done last fall but I'm doing it now. SpeedBleeders are on the way and I hope to have them before the weekend. Using a vacuum pump works but is a PITA. I just got done putting gel pads in my seat too. Driver and passenger. Can't wait to take it out to see how it feels. :2excited:
Just installed mine over the weekend and bled with new brake fluid......super easy to do.
I just did my brake bleeding with speedbleeders and I can just say that every spyder and motorcycle owner should have them. Bleeding my spyder took half of the time this time around. Ready to ryde!
