I’ll be on my Concours 14 and my wife will be on a white F3T.

I should be easy to spot. Kind of like last year...

Surprised that you would bring the concours. It will be hard enough to get the Victory to go that slow. Let alone the concours. Either way, it should be lots of fun. Just seeing that picture of us at the table really makes me hungry. I am thinking that is taken at "Butts on the Creek". I can almost taste the brisket. I will be mounting my hitch mounted rack next week, and shopping for some better rain gear this weekend.
Cool. Just know that I will only be at about 75% power at best, and possibly 50% power sometimes. My passenger has made that perfectly clear:lecturef_smilie::opps:. I promised her one day (at least half) of hanging out in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. That will probably be right on time for some of our "up north" M109 brothers that were complaining about me riding too far, and too long at the MAM. But as I told them, it is only about another 50 miles;).
Big Mike been checking the forecast and they are saying that temps should be in the 50-65 mile range. I think I will be able to leave the leathers behind, but will just break out the tritex and freeze out gear. I know KD will be pulling his trailer, as his wife loves to pack heavy. And their is always Walmart and Kmart if an extra sweat shirt is needed.
 My brother and I will be there for the first time. Him on a 2014 RT and me on my 2018 F3L from VA and TN. So looking forward to meeting like minded people.
Just got an email update on this meet.

I am so excited to announce that there will be 3 Rykers on display at the rally this year. There will also be a representative from Can Am there to answer questions about the Ryker. Unfortunately, no test rides, but you can sit on them and get a good feel of the new model. Can Am really came through on this. These Rykers won't be at dealerships until December or January, so you will be the first consumers to actually see and sit on one. The Rykers will be unveiled on Friday October 12th at 10:30 am and will be on display until the end of the day on Saturday October 13th. I can't wait for you to see them. I saw all of the Ryker models and test rode the Rally Edition at the BRP show a few weeks ago and I am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to ride one again. It was a blast!!
See you soon!!
I love Maggie Valley.
Riding down from Michigan.. will get there Wednesday afternoon.
Hoping for good weather.....
Watch the weather. Our local weatherman says IF tropical depression forms in gulf of Mexico, track will be right thru NC by Thursday. More rain than normal. Just look at forecast
You can all blame me for this new storm from hell. I had my dream vacation in August in Hawaii and got 10 days of Hurricane Lane. Then came home to SC to Hurricane Florence. Now this. Everyone I know wants me to tell them where my next trip is so they can book far, far away. BTW, we were in Maggie Valley 2 years ago for this event and brought THAT hurricane with us.
track of tropical depression now is slightly east, but it can change. wet weather Tuesday night till Thursday. clearing out Friday, but still above normal temps
Yep, been watching the forecast. The more eastern track can still work in our favor. Even though Mathew was there 2 years ago, I still got some great riding in. On some days when it was misty and rainy in Maggie Valley, we were able to head west. But the time we got to Cherokee, the sun was out sometimes. With the mountains, you can easily go from sun to rain, and back to sun again on any given day. It will still beat working:thumbup:.
Made it here dry!
Looks like rain Thursday but fri-sat-sun are dry.
Little misting in Maggie Valley, but otherwise dry.
Just checked in to our hotel. Looking forward to the weekend!!!
Rained hard till afternoon Thursday, Sunny with some wind Friday & Saturday, Saturday we had that hanging layer till noonish. Leaves had not turned in the valley yet. Folks who went on the rides had positive feedback including elk sightings on the Blue Ridge parkway. Vendors were rocking. We could see and touch a Ryker and a few lucky folks got to test ride it. I didn't see the Spyder Olympics but I could hear the participants across the fairgrounds laughing, so I want to thank the organizers and say good job.
Good rally and great rides. Be back next year
Chris
Pretty good event despite the low turnout. The only bad rain day was Thursday.. the rest was some great riding.....
Ride home is always fun.... 6 states and 640 miles to get home.......
That was a great rally and a lot of fun! We’re already looking forward to next year!!!
