Well it looks like I'm never gonna be on the tally. :( I can't seem to get the dealer in El Paso the only one we have to sell me the color I want. He says he can't get it and do the trade.
Lol he has a hard enough time returning the call.
All the ones that are close by are owned by the same 2 companies. And the ones in New Mexico say they can't do it with the trade without jumping through a ton of hoops and me living in Texas.
I do know that if they really were interested some of those hoops would magically disappear. Lol but that's the area I live in.
First weekend with our new 2020 RT Limited! Summer riding in Alaska is Awesome!!
:congrats: You are number Fifty-Nine in the tally. I note from Alaska. I moved from Chugiak last summer after twenty years there.
The only dealer used to be Team CC/Wasilla and they discontinued the line before I left. Did you buy locally, or bring it to AK from elsewhere?
Hello Traveler! Nice to meet you. I was out by Chugiak yesterday in Eagle River! My pic is from Jalepeno's parking lot! Took a ride for some Mexican food.
I purchased from Alaska Mining and Diving in Anchorage. They said this is the only one on the Road in AK currently. They are now the only dealer and repair.
I test drove and it was love at first ride ...
I thought that the backdrop looked familiar. Jalepeno's was our favorite go to Mexican restaurant. When we were there, it was either Jalapenos or Garcias. We liked Jalapenos best. Have you met Carmen yet? She is a great bartender/waitress. If you see her, tell her that Dwayne & Linda said hello.
AK Mining and Diving used to be a dealer for the Spyder. They dropped that line a couple years before team CC did. Glad to hear that there is another selling place for Alaskans.
When we left, there were about 15 assorted Spyders around Anchorage. Everyone pretty much kept to themselves though.
Fifty-Nine & counting.
Marsala red in chrome. Long time on two wheels. I'm having the usual difficulties changing from two to three, but already enjoying the stability of three wheels. Looking forward to lots of miles and smiles. Forgot to add RT Limited
Hindsight is 20/20. What I remember particularly is the soreness in my arms first time I tried a Spyder. I believe we take our experience on two wheels with our arms as as an upper body and steering support without realizing that it isn't necessary to hold on quite that tightly on a spyder. A motorcycle is only going to move up and down and other than a little counter-steer, we merely lean to turn. Our arms are mostly a steering damper if anything.
On the spyder - treating your arms like a steering damper is going tire you out quickly. You have both up/down as well as left-right motion as there are two front wheels and nothing you do is going to contain that. You learn to relax your grip and let the spyder move beneath you a bit. Like riding a horse.
Sixty and counting.
2020 RTL Red
We traded our 2016 RTS with 18,500 miles for a 2020 RT Limited in Deep Marsala Dark edition. Just over 200 miles now and love it.
Here she is....I'm loving it!!!
BTW, I am #56 already...just wanted to share the pic.
SIXTY-TWO AND COUNTING. :bbq:
Add Me to the list. Traded in my 2014 RTS for a 2020 RT Limited Deep Marsala Dark.
I just recently traded my 2014 RTS for a new 2020 LTD. The new bike is Marsala Red, Chrome edition.
Except for the handlebars, I love everything about it. The bars are too far for my short arms. I am going to try the F3 Attitude bars and see if they work.
