I know that there use to be options... but a lot of them are discontinued (or at least I am having the worst time finding something).
Are there still options out there for a rear top case... preferable installed behind the rear seat backrest?

I put on a Besteem box on top of the rear plate, works great about $85 Canadian from Amazon
sports rack & backrest are on EBay, maybe not color you looking for but can get that fixed later.:coffee: the case however only came in black & required the sportsrack/backrest to attempt working. Unless u good at diy & have a hitch

Unfortunately, the backrest that I have right now is not the one that was build to work with the sport rack.
The hitch is a pretty cool idea... but I don't have one :(.
I guess my idea was more along the lines of a sissy bar luggage rack and then eventually I can add a top case on it.
Look for the ST one which will fit your style backrest. I had one on my 2011 RSS
Part # 219400476
Just an FYI, I am getting ready to remove my rear plate and reinstall original plastic and I will be selling it.
Oh... did not knew there was the option for a case with the fixed backrest, thank you!
I will start searching and see what I can find out there :).
Can you fit a full face helmet in that thing? For the passenger.
If is the one that is mounting on the fix backrest, then I might be interested... if I can afford it :D.
Otherwise, I really do not want to buy another backrest.
Thank you for confirming it fits a full face helmet - that is one of the main reasons I am planning to get a top case. :)
I'e already sent an email to the dealer where I got the trike from (to see what kind of prices they might have and if they can get it - usually are good at giving me some discounts when they can :)).
The "affordable" part was a reply to Sputter... regarding the plate that he wants to sell :).
Hope this works?[ATTACH=CONFIG
Anytime sir!
That's what I used as I had that plate on my bike when I bought it. I used the Besteem mounting plate, drilled four holes through the plate with 1 inch spacers. That way you can mount it forward or backwards on the plate. The besteem box has a back rest on the top box and by unlocking the plate you can remove the whole top box and put in the rear seat rest only or take the box off and leave the plates in place. My box in the 90 so it takes a full face helmet as well.
Works great
few possibilities with the sports rack depending on how you wanna go:2thumbs: one of best I’ve seen so far:

. Bolted straight to lid, believe GIVI monokey cases come with the mounting plates you just have to figure where & how you want them.
or can go with brp rear rack bag part#280000317they also have a passenger seat bag #280000320 also found a pic of my full face XL modular helmet in topcase some room in corners for a roll of socks maybe to keep from bouncing around. Sissy bar bags work great toogood brands options & sizes available, personally like securing mine with a bike lock to the passenger grab rails(peace of mind till I get to hotel& it comes in room with me)
Have same on 13 ST-S. Made by Givi.
I talked with the parts guy from the dealer where I got the trike and he said that BRP still had very few cases that mounts with the Roadster backrest.
The guy was very reluctant to let me order it when he found out I am having the RS-S version; because on the spec sheet that he had, it was clearly mentioning for ST only.
Soooo... here is hoping that it will fit. I don't see why not since as far as I know tail of the RS-S and ST is the same (but maybe BRP had a reason to mention ST only!?). The front is the one that has some differences.
Here's hoping... he said that he should receive it maybe towards the end of this week. I'll update more then...
Expensive as hell though... but considering is coming with the mounting plate (I assume) and the case, maybe is not that bad (around $650CAD ).
But I need it for the passenger helmet and additional space so... yeah, I bent over :opps:.
Thanks for giving me more confidence :)!
I believe you... that's why I pressed on and insisted on ordering - promised I will buy it no matter what, so now I am invested :D.
It is very odd that I cannot find any kind of pictures with the seat installed. I mean more detailed pictures. I am curious how it actually mounts on the seat.
Got, installed it and love it.
Looks better than I was expecting - kind of completes the look of the trike.
Thanks all! :)
Does the Givi topcase lid open when mounted just behind the backrest?
You owe me a beer :)
It does, but with a quirk.
Under the mounting plate, there is a lever that you pull and allows for the plate to tilt 45 degrees. And then the top case fully opens.
I thought it might be annoying, but after using it a couple of times today (went for a 9 hour ride), I did not find it annoying at all. Kind of like it...
I sure do - If we ever cross the roads, you have a beer guaranteed :).
I see you are in the 1000 islands area - I'm Richmond Hill.
Did you remove the rack yet and is it for sale
