Cv filter
Hi all just a point ref the 5 bolts holding thr cv filter . The very bottom bolt is impossible to put a socket on , so after you have struggled to remove it with open ender spanner Change it for a Allen bolt then a long Allen key will fit through the small space and on to Allen head makes it easier Regards Nico 75

Sometimes you have to wonder, "Why didn't THEY think of that?"

Yeah I looked at my CV filter today and after 2,000 miles I had to vacuum some particles off the surface- They should have made it like the air filter which just pops out?

Hi Sarge707 that will make it t easy. Regards Nico 75

Good Idea...
Thanks for letting the ryker clan know about this. It will save them a lot of hassel the next time they need to go there. It is strange that on all others, spyders that is, they used clips and torx....:dontknow:

You can take the CVT air intake housing off altogether. Thereby, giving you easy access to that bottom bolt. Just open up the CVT air intake housing and slide it to the right. Then You can push the longer hinge piece to the left that frees up the entire housing unit. Inquiring minds need to know.

A 1/4" drive 8mm socket on a long 1/4" drive extension will reach the bottom bolt with intake in place.
