Where is that rally in NoCal? To me, NoCal is just below the Oregon border, no farther south than Yreka or Eureka or Susanville.
You are just about correct.
Wishing all a fun , productive and fun time up there in Oroville :yes:
Oroville?? Those of us north of the Cali/Oregon border consider that Central Cali. I get the feeling that Californians think anything north of LA is NorCal.
Just arrived, looking forward to seeing everyone
Got here just after noon. Lew is a great guide. I'm on another yellow Spyder.
Its getting crowded in Oroville.:yes::yes:
The event starts Tuesday.
Cheers, David C.
Squared Away is here! We had an awesome ride from Las Vegas, the weather was perfect. And the weather will remain perfect for the entire event because we did not wash our bikes.
:ohyea:
The NorCal Rally of 2019 was a smashing success. Great rides, Great people, Great organization, Great weather-------- one flat tire in the high Sierra.
Lew L
Even with the flat tire, we had a great time. Rushed home, 976 miles in 2 days, tired but happy
Good talking with you Lew, i will get the flash done over the winter.
Ray
We had a great time too. Perfect weather, great people my only request would be for a Porta Potty in the vendor area.
Thanks all for the kind words. We had a blast putting this event! Keep watching here and we will soon announce the location for next year. We put over 1000 miles on our spyders last week and we live in the area. Ray, glad you and Tracy made it home safe. You too Lew and the best to Nova as well. And many many thanks to Joe and Ann for getting people Squared Away, and giving all that needed it a much needed Wedgie!
Hi Ray,
I wish we had made the time to let you take a spin on my :spyder2: . You'll like the flash.
And to all the folks who think the :spyder2:'s are not reliable------ not one problem at the rally ( with many thousands of miles driven).
Thanks Lew,
it would have bee interesting to see the difference. I plan to do it anyway in the winter when the bike is parked.
Thanks again, hope to see you there next year.
Ray
Unfortunately, some of still have to work. I did travel through in Sept, on our way to Norcal, the past two years in a row, just not this year.....
For this trip I put n 3823 miles in 16 days, through some very desolate roads. This is the forth year we have been to the rally from Kamloops B.C. Canada. I have never once been concerned about the spyder, and already have plans for next year. I have 2017 RT-S with over 30,000 miles on it. (only get to ride 6 months of the year due to winter). I have had one problem with a cam position sensor last year. Over all, VERY happy with the bike.
Make sure that you have a great dealer that knows what they are doing and you should be trouble free. We have in the last 2 years made trips of 4500 miles, and 6800 miles. Not one issue at all. I mean NOTHING! Like Ray said we drove some real back roads ( you could hear dueling banjos playing in the background ) and we will do it again soon ( Kamloops here we come ). Jus keep up on the required maintenance keep your tire pressure where it needs to be, don’t hit any rocks, and you will have miles of smiles!
You guys are welcome anytime, but if you want to ride, I'd wait till spring. Last week it was only 39 deg f on the way to work, and only got to 44f as a high. Wifi terminal is coming.....
