USB power is good from BRP connect - charges my phone
No power at auxiliary light (bottom front of Bike) connector?????
I know go to dealer - maybe we can find culprit!
Figured it out no headlights - going to order some relays - hopefully that is all - stupid is as stupid does
Installed two new headlight relays - still no headlights:gaah:
Called dealer for appointment
Checked everything again before leaving (1+ hour ride) and saw for first time 7.5 amp headlights fuse - yes blown - replaced - life is good again we have lights:ohyea:
Darn you got that one by yourself!!!
So what really happened? The whole story please.
I was hoping to avoid that -
so I was hooking up the aux power for aftermarket light (lower front on 2020 rt) and decided to volt meter the the wires first since sometimes they are reversed and I slipped with probes and shorted the wires together.
no sparks or heat in wires - so I probed again and 0 volts.
So I started checking the rest of the RT - running lights ok, bike started - oops no headlights - in another thread I found out I blew headlight 7.5Amp fuse
So now we also know that the headlights power and aux power share same fuse.
Thanks, Im taking down notes so I can be careful too.
I'm having a hard time keeping up with you on your new ride and all these post!
My new ride continues to be a challenge - need to move fast - winter is coming - hopefully I won't have to get rid of it next spring.
I enjoy modding and want to learn the RT - first time I've hosed up an install/mod - hope others can learn from my careless mistakes.
Both my 2008 RS and 2015 F3 were so much easier to work on and access things
RT panels are huge and require pushing and pulling to snap off in different places - not a comfortable 1st time experience. Bring back the many screws with rubber washers - unscrew lift off small panels - simple.
Well finally - I properly installed the aftermarket bottom of front bumper led light ($24 because they only come 2 to an order, so technically $12) - fits tight and works great - super light.
So, when you start bike the light comes on and when you turn off the bike it is a delayed turn off with headlights. That lower light will light up the ground in front of you.
:congrats::congrats:
