There has been a lot of discussion about rear tires, but I am interested in options for my 2014 RT front tires. What have people been using besides the stock OEM tires?

I use federal evo

The Federal Evo is available in the stock tire size. If you Google the tire size you should come up with a few buying options. I have run them twice on my 14 and I got around 30,000 miles on each set. They aren't sexy but they are cheap and they last a long time.
I have 155/55/15 on mine. Got them from discount tire. Do a Google search

The kids who are into DRIFTING with their cars LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOve them............. I guess they are really easy to break loose, so spinning the car becomes easier, and that's what they want........To each his/her/it's own ..........Mike
I have 5,000 miles on the Federal Evo's, never experienced drifting on corners, including during pouring rain, and never experienced Hydroplaning during heavy rains even at 80mph, water trackes straight out the back of the tire. I love the federals and will replace with same when needed. Unless you have used the tires on your bike, your not really qualified to say what they may do, and as far as the kids, I would take that with a grain of salt, IMHO.
I am running Continental Contiprocontact on the front. Size: 165/60 R15 on my 2014 RTS-SE6. PSI is 19.
They are excellent in the rain, ( I got caught in a thunder storm, the tires were pushing the rain away. I did not get any hydroplaning. They are excellent on the dry, wet, dirt roads.
My Kenda's were changed out @ 12,807 miles. I now have 1,293 on the fronts. Total miles on spyder are 14,100 as of 8/8/16. Deanna
3 I was able to find a set of the Federals on Ebay, and ordered them. Never heard anything but good reviews on these from the spyder people, so I think I will be happy. Really looking forward to mounting these to my F3 rims, and putting them on my Rt. Thanks for the help.
I, like a few folks, have the Fed evo's. Over 10,000 on em and they still look pretty good. Well better than half tread. I'll buy em again:2thumbs:

What brand tire? I have a discount tire and by me. Stock tire size?
Has anybody tried different sizes and profiles of tires?
A 185/55 R15 is almost an inch wider and the same height. Without sending a bunch of cash is there a way of finding out what will fit the RTL '18 model is what I have. An inch of wider rubber would be nice to have.
Yes , I had that size on my 2014RT ( Toyo Proxes T1r ).... I had the basic style fenders ( more room in them ) .... But I still had to shim the brackets out ..for this size to fit ..... In reality , yes they give very slightly more traction .... But unless you are racing for serious money ...it's just not worth the effort ....I know this , because I actually did this .... not guessing .... good luck .... Mike :ohyea:
Thanks Mike
So Federal EVO 165/55/15 are the best for a 2015 RT?
I have a set of Contententals to go on mine when they need it. I think 60,000 mi wear.
What size?
