The Ryker seems somewhat...unstable on the highway. At least that is my impression. I have to hold on for dear life when going over bumps or changing lanes. If I recall correctly, the F3 was more stable. Your thoughts?

Read the Do's and Don'ts for new Spyder owners, and relax your grip on the bars.
I turned my front shocks down from #3 to #2 on my Ryker rally. It made a huuuge difference out West of you on the rough Boone county roads.
I think on the Ryker it's direct steering, no power assisted, so the steering would be a little touchy and you would have to sit back and not over drive it! Just a thought!! Good luck
My Rally and F3 are about equal on the highway BUT on off kilter back roads with rough spots the Rally demands your attention more!!
Unless you are on newly resurfaced roads, they are unfortunately like that. :barf: A road I go on, where car tires ride, the road is smooth, but the middle is rough though, a 2 wheeler can ride one side of the lane or other, but with trike we are screwed.
I don't experience this so I can't really comment. But I'm wondering about your alignment or tire pressures.
Have you messed with your front shock spring pre-load?
We have had to align Rykers, so you might check that. As Ron said, check tire pressures. 1/2 pound difference is something that you can feel!
OK, I will check the tire pressure. I will need to figure out how to adjust the suspension. As far as mechanical things go, I'm like a monkey using a stick to eat ants.

mine one was "hopping" when I got it - they changed the swaybar to the stronger Version and ist OK now - on the back I use the FOX with the "hardest" Position ..
I also have more pressure in the fornt and rear tires .. for me the Ryker has a better handling than my "old" Spyders (GS / RT )
