Hi, looking to see if anyone has installed the Wide View Convex Mirrors from Value Accessories or Slingmods for the F3L/F3T. Are they worth the $80, will they stay in place or fall off after a couple of months. Thanks for any insight.

I have the ones from another distributor, you need to use some super glue on them to be assured they will stay, but they are really worth the money.

We have them on an RT and like them. Just cleaned the stock mirrors well with alcohol, then carefully lined up the convex mirrors and stuck them on. Only a couple months and a couple thousand miles, but no problems so far.
.
I have the convex mirrors on my STS. They are the same mirrors, same part number, as used by the F3.
Initially the mirrors came loose after a few months. I recleaned and reattached the mirrors with
E6000 epoxy. No problems in the last 15,000 miles. The mirrors are worth the investment!!
I had the wide view mirrors on my 2014 RT. They work, but I didn't think there was a significant difference. I felt he advertising for the mirrors was a bit deceptive, changing camera angles to make the new mirrors look like they covered more area.
On my 2020, I elected to use spot mirrors with more coverage. They still look like OEM.
As always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.

I have these on my vehicles. Work great - stays on - adjustable.

I have 2" blind spot mirrors on the outside of the stock mirrors. About 10 bucks. They cover the entire side. I can't see that the convex mirrors would give better coverage.
I just ordered the square ones.
I had the wide view mirrors on my RTL. Put them on according to instructions with no additional adhesives. No issues with them with over 30K miles. I felt they improved rear visibility a lot. And, no more blind spots. I think they were one of the best safety additions made to my bike..... Jim
I bought a set for my new to me 2013 RTL, got ready to install them, low and behold, the previous owner had already put a set on!
have you seen these mirrors?

I'm afraid those would make me seasick. I'm a minimalist and because I spoiled my mirror view on my F3T by moving the bars forward and up (monkey arms is my nickname) I put bar end mirrors on and use them exclusively. They also serve well as vibration dampers. Very nice. Details @ the link in my sig...
I've had them on my F3 for 3 years without any issues.
Thanks to all of you for your input. I just ordered the convex mirrors.

Really like all the feedback in this thread. Only been riding a month, and this blind spot issue is a constant thorn.
Checked around ...pictures ...videos ...never saw much to win my confidence that the “30% more” was worth the price.
In fact, had very similar feelings as ThreeWheels on the matter...
I found the camera shots misleading, and in others, the “before” mirror angles are... questionably positioned.
Not that it isn’t MORE viewing angle, but... some of those product photos... jeeeez.
Seem to lean closer to “maliciously staged” than “accidentally poor photo shooting”.
So... while I been researching, needed something installed to stave off my premature demise, until I find my permanent solution.
Been trying out a different set of Spot Mirrors
(Pros: CHEAP! Fast! EFFECTIVE! Less Blindy!
Cons: N/A. I just need more experience with them. My eyes stay on them a half-second longer than I feel comfortable with, at the moment).
I rate them a SolidGood addition, I can stick with these for a while I think.
And if I find something better? a little GooGone/Thread/Razor and I can get them right back off.
The post from Jackhartjr kinda confirmed some hunches I have tho...
Even if I get a set installed, I might not notice much difference:dontknow:
...aaaand $90 later, be right back out on the hunt for something wider/better. Handlebar mounts possibly.
...Once I see a set of WideVU mirrors in person tho, who knows.
Enough people seem to be happy with them (and they sell out quick!)
seems likely I might too.
More Rides will tell:ohyea::riding:
Thanks All
Ohh and Terrance!
Thats... kinda interesting.
Based off the dimensions, its just leaves too little clearance (for my taste) for my hand to open my F3-T glovebox (up top on the 2019’s),
without knocking it.
Best guess is that it might also block a bit too much of the road ahead
(I taped a small foam box on my windshield I had laying around +Foil for a quick’ndirty mockup... I was curious)
but i definitely like the concept. Its good.
Wouldn’t mind seeing “revision 2” of that... I may have to put it on a Watchlist.
Appreciate you sharing the Find! :2thumbs:
Have had the TricLED versions on my 2014 since day one. They are still there and working good.
A few things to consider, they are permanent, they add weight to your mirrors meaning your mirror shake may increase, if you have an F4 windshield with wings, the wings will rub on them to open up.
Other than that they are great at increasing your field of view.
