Oh....okay
Then the question becomes when does a "man" or "dude" become "pop?"
Dudes have surf boards..........
Everybody is dude in my work environment.....I am Pop.
Another one I have been hearing is 'Got it, Boss'. Not sure if that is an age slam.
Anyone notice?....Most users of the term "dude" seem to be very 420 friendly. :roflblack:
Do you know what question came to me at lunchtime? :dontknow:
:D
What's for Dinner? :roflblack:
There can only be one Dude: "The Dude" in the movie "The Big Lebowski"
Dudes wear cowboy clothes, but can't ride a horse.
I thought dude stopped awhile back, and man before it. As far as Boss goes, it's typically because of knowledge, not age. I think Brah is one of the more recent terms.
I agree with Gwolf's answer.
Oh, let me not forget dawg, which is still used.
Rogue,
I'm glad to see you are over the apocalypse, and getting back to normal.:joke::firstplace:
Rogue,
Not to be sexist, but what are some female term usages?
Things people worry about when they don't have enough work to keep them busy............................
I remember the old Dell computer commercials ... "It's a Dell Dude!" The kid got busted for pot and lost his contract with Dell. Actually, I think I remember hearing it first during Vietnam.
:agree:
I must be " pops " as I've never called anybody " dude " If I need to get a strangers attention I call them "hay buddy" or "sir". If it's a woman it's always " mam" or " miss". If I know a person's name ( which I'll forget within 5 minutes ) I call them by their name of course. Maybe it's my age or demeanor but I don't get called " dude" either.

This is something in the Girl World that some find perplexing. Girls in a group referring to themselves as a group of 'guys'. Example, a girl says, "Hey guys, lets go to the club" when talking to her female friends. From what I hear, that is a Northern thing. Southern girls don't get it.
Girls also refer to their female friend as 'girl friend' as appose to a guy talking about his significant other as his 'girlfriend'. Note the space between the words.
I am a little bit disappointed that you don't call them "Dudettes".............
Thanks for making me postpone my lunch to read this
Just remember there are more than one kind of dude. There is dude, dooood, and of course dooooooooooood. Also I think the term boss came along for people like me who never can remember anyone's name.
