Does anyone know where I may be able to get an adapter to go from my trailer hitch wiring (4 pin flat) on my 14 RTL, to a round plug on a 2010 RT-622 trailer?
I have a trailer that uses a flat plug and my hitch has a square plug. I just went to a auto parts store and bought the parts and made my own converter. Not that hard and its worked great for two years now.
I have the 4 pin flat connector, and the trailer has the round 6-wire BRP plug.
This is what you need. Part # 710003227, Tongue harness. You may have to search eBay to find it. Maybe a dealer can still get it from BRP. Price is/was $40.00. Adapts 2010-2012 RT-622 to the square 4 wire plug. You say 4 pin flat. If you have a non-BRP hitch you'll have to change the the plug on the bike or on the trailer to make them match.
Actually, your easiest route is to figure out which wires are used for what on the trailer, cut off the round connector, and splice on a 4 flat. Do you have the owner's manual for the trailer. It'll show what pins are used in the round connector.
Cut it off and wire in a 4 pole of your choice.

Thanks guys for the info. I will print it out for future use. The trailer I was going to buy is sold, and I was not given the decency for getting a call or text yesterday morning, when I was going as far to have a hitch and lighting put on my mini van, just so I could drive almost 600 miles to pick it up. Not very happy.
So if anyone knows of an RT-622 for sale at a non inflated price, please let me know.
Steve
Thanks Billy, i try it
Is the 2012 622 trailer a 4 or 5 wire system? Or they all the same no matter what years?
Other than the 2010, they should all be 4 pin

Four pin square on both bike and trailer..... Jim
Thanks..I just bought a 2012 622 trailer and it has the round 9 pin on it.. My 2017 RTL has 4 wire square. I'm going to cut off the round. My old aftermarket trailer was 5 wire and I put a converter in . Was hoping I didn't have to do that again.
Lamonster has the square 4 to flat 4 pigtail
