My GF has a 900, she is concerned some cars don't realize how wide the front is and wanted some brighter lights near the wheels.
So, I made some brackets to mount some extra LED driving lights that turn with the steering.
Here are some prototype pictures:

im from australia and to be able to sell the rykers here we had to have extra wide rear indicators fitted and extra front lights.kind of doing what you wanted but from the factory.ours have lights on what looks like a different side panel to yours that sits up higher and wider so you get more light down the road too i would imagine.its a neat fitment if you can buy it from brp.but i suspect as with all brp bits they are probably really costly.i dont have a image i can easily put here as thats above my skill set,you may be able to find a image from aus or our great aussie moderator may put one up.Quote:

What light kit did you use? I like the idea of having additional lights farther apart. Might actually cause drivers to mistake Rykers for cars and I can't see that being a bad thing.

This is the switch I used for them.
What are the the brackets mounted to? It's a little hard to see from the photos? I really like the idea that they track with the steering. It makes blind corners way less scary at night.
They attach with the same the bolts that hold the fender.
Did you custom made the bracket?

6000k isnt the brightness, its the temperature- 6000 lumens is the brightness!
Here in Aust, they are!! Only permitted on Emergency Response Vehicles, and until fairly recently the various different types of first responders all had different lights/flashes & sirens, so you could both see and hear if it was a Cop or a Firey or an Ambo coming up behind you, but now..... they all run the same lights & sirens, plus they've expanded the use of Red & Blues to include the various State Emergency Services too! :gaah: It was all different, back in the day..... :mad: dunno what the world is coming too! :dontknow:Quote:

Having your lights mounted on pretty much the wheel; aren't they moving up and down with the wheel, based on the road conditions?
Couldn't this create some issues for the incoming traffic and unintentionally "flash them" (from two different points at different intervals) constantly, especially on a bumpy road?

Looks like after water jetting, bending and powdercoat the cost would be 30 US Dollars plus shipping.

I ended up going with the Lamonster kit for $120. You get everything you need except zip ties. They mount to the upper bolts on the front shocks, install was easy and for the price I doubt I could piece a kit of my own together for that price and a lifetime warranty to boot. Seemed logical at the time.
