I believe that one will be far too small. You need a 50mm, or 2" one. This is the one I put on my bike, although not the same seller:

Whatever you get it NEEDS to be digital.
Colored lights by themselves are useless.
And most analog gauges won't move the needle enough to get your attention; a drop of .5 volts can be SIGNIFICANT.
Where did you install it? What did you tap into? Thanx been looking for one...
I also have the one from ebay. I put it in the old temp guage spot. It is nice to know how voltage is doing since just a little voltage drop can leave you sitting.
Really? even on a 2012 RT? Did not know that, but you have to remove both?
I was thinking the rocker switch one ..I have 1 empty switch space in my dash just don't want to take a lot of body panels off to wire it..
I just quickly looked for one on e-bay, there may be chaeper prices, but this is the clock I bought, and I am very happy with it.

Does not say much about heat protection on motorcycles, should be easier than mounting a volt meter in dash:dontknow:
I installed this one on my 2011 RT on the right side after removing the original water temp gage. I also installed their digital water temp gage where the old fuel gage was. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hi, I installed Red LED Intellitronix 9015R gauge, back in 2012 I believe, along with a Intellitronix 9014R red digital Oil pressure gauge in the dash next to the cluster on opposite sides . Intellitronix has a bright red display which is dimmable. I have tried others, this display is readable in bright sun light.
The DVM voltmeter I found is accurate to .1 volts and usually displays between 13.8 to 14.1 during driving dependent upon lights that are on and brake lights. The accuracy of mine I verified with my DVM fluke and bench DVM which is in calibration.
The GS & RS Spyders I believe the magneto is 750 watt while the RT is slightly larger capacity, both are controlled by a shunt regulator which clamps the voltage to about 14.1 on my GS.
eBay and JC Whitney I know are a couple of sources..
Ps the motor at idle above 13.0 volts. Yes, when you turn on the key after the Spyder has been parked for several days with no battery maintenance charger connected, it will probably be about 12.3 to 12.5 .
OZZ3 -- Did you install the S8434 oil pressure sender the 9014R gauge came with? If so what adapters did you use? Thanks.
OZZ3 hasn't been to Spyderlovers since June, 2020, so you may not get a reply.
Thanks. I noticed after I posted his engine wasn't my 1330cc. The service manual describes the test port which I think an oil sender can be threaded into and there seems to be enough room for the sender itself so no remote via hose needed.
I got a rocker switch/usb port/voltmeter off amazon for 14$,just search it the way I said it.I put it in the unused slot where all the rockers are on my 17rt,yours may be different.Holds up fine in the rain too.
