We've all had questions asked about our Spyders, most being repeats but what out of the norm questions/statements have you been asked/told?
I don't care who you are.....that there is funny! hehehehehe
:D Yup! :D
And it's true, too!
I've gotten a few times, "aren't those things prone to flipping, didn't they made 3-Wheelers illegal?"
No moron, this isn't the 1980s with one wheel in the front and two in the back like the old school ATVs. :banghead::roflblack:
"Is it a Transformer?"
"Yes, it is... it transformed all of my cash into GOOD TIMES!"
Wow! Will that really do 200 MPH? Yes, that's what the speedo says. (Don't tell them you have to set it to KPH first though). :roflblack::roflblack:
Best I ever had was the guy who followed me into a parking lot and asked how the steering connected to the rear wheel.
I explained that the bars controlled the front wheels but he would have none of that.
"I just watched you turn in here and that thing turned just like my fork lift does with the rear wheel", he argued.
He got down on the ground and checked everything out and still didn't believe me.
Finally he said, "you're just puttin' me on ain't ya... I know that thing steers from the rear."
He finally left still talking to himself.
Then there was the lady who came up to me at a rest area on the interstate and asked...."Can you drive those things on the highway?"
I was tempted to tell her I flew it in, but didn't have the heart.
"Is it legal to ride that thing on the highway?" :dontknow:
Think we were posting at the same time...
"How fast will it go?", is usually the second question that gets asked...
I just point to the analog Speedo, and watch them try to wrap their minds around THAT! :roflblack:
When they ask if they're legal to ride on the highway, tell them "No! That's why you have to be able to go 200 mph..."
Had one wanted to know "Can ya ride that thing in the water" i replied yea one time. he just said "Cool" and walked away.

Question I have been asked is "can we borrow that for our wedding vehicle?":roflblack:
Those are some good ones!
too many to list but these have made our top ten list
man does that thing turn?
nope ... it's hell trying to get from one side of the road to the other. other than that its a fun ride.
my brother almost bought one of those at Costco a few weeks ago.
I saw a guy do a wheelie on one of those one time. it was awesome.
two most common things asked of me is, are the graphics stick on or paint, and how much was this thing
"Is it fun to ride?"
No man, it sucks. I have to force myself to ride it every day.
SMDH
"Is it electric?"
"Did you have that custom made?"
With the GS "did you build it yourself?"
With the RT "does it have three wheels?"

Number 1 question is how much does it cost?
Favorite question (in full Gomer Pyle accent) Does that thing have gears? I said yes, just like a motorcycle. Dude goes, oh 3 down and 2 up? That one was so stupid I almost forgot that it's 1 down and 4 up. Made me hesitate for a second. :hun:
When I bought my first one in November
When I bought my first one in November 2007
I got pulled over by Leo 3 times the first day -- Is that legal on the road
Then there were the Asians that asked if it was Suzuki or Kawasaki
The best was when they asked if it was front wheel drive
And the list goes on
I've been asked a couple of times, "That's front wheel drive, isn't it?"
Way back when,,,,,, there was a spyder owner who was filling up at the gas station and this character came around the pump and said " WOW is that ELECTRIC??? owner paused for a second and answered " Ahhh Yes it is but the clock runs on gas so have to fill up to keep it going!!!":roflblack::roflblack: or something to that effect. That's as close as I could remember it anyway. Happened probably in 2008 or 9. I laughed so hard over that one that I did remember a lot of it. Haven't had much attention lately tho as there a LOT more of us out there. It used to take about 1/2 to1 hr to fill up due to all the questions and the "wanna closer look at it" folks. ;)
