I carry emergency lights which are like flares.

Where did you get the reflective stickers?
Would white only reflective stickers be legal? I know in Illinois, you can't have a white light on the rear of a vehicle. (illuminated while driving) Seems like that would be something that could get you stopped for a little "discussion" when riding at night.
I've seen these before on Amazon. During the day, they are gloss black and at night they are a very bright white. Using these on the "rear of a moving vehicle" at night will get you a ticket in South Carolina. Trust me on this one. :lecturef_smilie:
You will be finded in Ontario.
What with all the utility vehicle with all kinds of reflective tape and decals in all colors, its not an issue. Most trucks have red/white reflective tape all over.
Large trucks are required by the Feds to have so many square inches of WHITE reflective material on the rear. This is applied at the factory before the trucks leave. That was one of the things I had to make sure of as a QA inspector. Why the double standard? I have been running these black/white reflective decals on all my bikes for years and all over the U.S. and Canada with nary a second glance from any officers. Not about to remove them now.
StreetGlo also sells that material in stripes or sheets that you can cut yourself.

South Carolina vehicle illumination law.
All lighting devices and reflectors mounted on the rear of any vehicle shall display or reflect a red color, except the stop light or other signal device, which may be red, amber or yellow and except that the light illuminating the license plate or the light emitted by a back-up lamp shall be white.
I have LED'S for day/night driving, and for safety on roads.
Here is a picture of my spyder at night with the LED'S/and reflective decals( the reflective decals I bought thru WRAPMYSPYDER.COM they are a vendor on this site):

So I’m curious, is this the sort of thing you’d pull a motorcyclist over for or would you let it go or does it depend on the day?
In Calif a front and rear license plate is required but I’ve never been pulled over for it despite passing many cops. I guess I always figured it was more hassle than it’s worth.
I don't have a dog in this fight so my comments are only just curious. Why would you not just have red reflective color instead of white on the rear? For us old guys, white is for the front and red is for the rear. Seeing white from the rear would tend to confuse unnecessarily..... Jim
Just look at any big rig and you'll see red and white reflective tape all over them. Front, back and sides. As mentioned, California have reflective plates. Many utility vehicles have white as well as other reflective tape and emblems all over them. I had white on my ST. No problems.
Certainly not trying to get into anything from my part just genuinely curious because I’ve always carried the assumption that the paper work was more of a hassle than the infraction was worth. Answer isn’t needed I was just curious and it probably depends on the officer, the day, time of day etc. Thanks for having looked out for us.
