Tire rack
A very good tire from what I read hereon, Verdestein Quatrac = 165/60R15, $100.67/tire from Tire Rack
Thank you, didnt know if the 60s would be ok in the fenders, pretty tight with the 55s
Thank you, but havent had any luck on the 55s on tire rack
I have just fitted up the 165/60 R15. No clearance issues at all. :2thumbs:
If the tire fits under the front fender ( and the 165/60 does ) It should never rub .... the tire and fender remain equally spaced from each other because the fender is attached to the HUB .... same as the wheel / tire ..... Currently the Quatrac is the highest rated tire that will fit our bikes ..... I am trying out a new tire I found ... the RIKEN HR, this is for the REAR only it's a 215/60-15 which is what just about everybody here is using ..... PS these are AUTO tires and your dealer may not want to MOUNT them. but auto tires places can ..... PPS if you use an Auto tire the PSI needs to be lower than stock ie. 15 to 17 front and 18-19 psi rear ...... Mike
Additional size option is 175/55R15. I had those (Federal Formoza) on my 2014 RTL with no fitment issues. And.... They looked great..... Jim
175/55R15 on my 2017 RT....Love um!
HI rperry,
I am running the 165/60 R15 tire size, I found Continental Contiprocontact's on Tire Rack.
I replaced the OEM's on 6/24/2016 with the above tire. The space between the fenders and the tire is about 1/2 inch( of the thickness of my pointer finger). These tires do not rub on the fenders.
I have a 2014 RTS-SE6.
The ratings on the above tires are: WET..................... 7.0 Good Wet Trac. 7.1
DRY......................7.7 Good Cornering :7.5 Dry Trac: 8.0 Steering Response: 7.7
I haven't had any problems with the above tire.

I fitted 175/60-15 Michelin's on my F3s, and they fit just fine, I learned from Mike that not all tires are created equal, but for me they fit like a glove, that's too tight...So me thinks you won't get in trouble fitting the size you stated
Another good online tire source that I have had very good luck with is Tires-Easy.com
Just to throw something else into the mix, I just fitted 175/65R14’ on my RSS with no problems what so ever. I know it’s not the same but I just wanted to point it out.
I have 165/60s on my 2015 RT-S Federal Formosa AZ01. Got mine at Walmart.com $55.00ish picked up and took to my tire dealer got them mounted and balanced.
thank you!!
