I have no idea how/why or when it happened. Just looked at at when parked and it looked odd until I realized what happened. :opps:
Anyone else see/hear of something like this?
Much of what broke off was attached to inner fender piece, and not hard mounted. I wonder if it vibrates and fatigues the plastic where it broke?

Update: Upon examination, said piece indeed flaps with road bumps/vibration!!! Plastic fatigue is exactly what happened.
How many miles do you have on your Ryker?
I'd like to see a zoomed out photo, is this the flap on the trailing edge of the fender, seemed like it would help with shedding rain, but could be easily stepped on.
Looks like it hit something in the road and broke.
Nope. Nothing hit. Try pushing up & down on yours. You see how easily it flaps. Broke right where the fatigue line would be.Quote:

I have almost 3000 on mine with about 2000 of that on dirt roads bouncing around! What I've put mine through is probably equivalent to 30000 street miles and have had no issues with any of the plastic.

That only proves that my part must have been defective. Hopefully replacement and other side will last the life of the trike.Quote:

We have Ryker ' and both are 's 600's My finders on my bike are OK at this time. On my wife ryker the left finder is in good shape. The right fender has a hair line crack. There is more give in the finder that has a crack in the finder. The other three are more rigid. It will break someday.
Not sure what the "finder" is. Please explain.
Probably meant fender. That is in there at least once.

It is a sharp angle where the piece that broke off was attached to the vertical component. Stresses are always high at such places without a gusseted or curved corner. Bad design.Quote:

Good news for me! I'm going to 1st contact Can-Am and discuss issue with them, before I ride over an hour to the nearest dealer, and they say it is not covered under warranty, as I must have "hit something".Quote:

Update! I contacted Can-Am about the issue, but they don't really have a technical support I could talk to about the issue. :barf: They just said bring it to my nearest dealer.
Update II:
My dealer is not very close by at all. To avoid two trips to dealer or having to drop it off, I'm trying to arrange part being available at dealership, and then I go there and wait on repair. They were trying to say it would not be covered by Can-Am under warranty, while others have had same exact problem covered (per this or other site). So they are saying that I need to pay for part/labor after part comes in, and I can be reimbursed for it if/when Can-Am covers it. I guess I have no choice but to do that.
