Just got them replaced, still aluminum.
Hi Mikey yes they are aluminium I put a magnet on mine , no grip regards Nico 75
Even after owning a not cheap aluminum bicycle frame that cracked in 2 places after 3? years of riding (2,400 miles?)...I have full confidence in the my pre 2/19, and the brand new nuts. I just have to do my part in maintaining them, just like anything else that I want to last a good while. Time and mileage well tell.
I got my wheel nuts replaced today. It took them less then 20 minutes to change the all three. Wheel nuts look little different. Original wheel nut was much narrower. I was able to see bit of space end of the lug nut and the little red pin. Now with the new lug nut there are not spaces between end of the lug nut and red pin.
Maybe they didn't tighten your wheels? ..........Just kidding..:shemademe_smilie:
