Lifting all affected up to the Lord. 🙏
These are 2 great people needing our prayers
Strangely enough, I just got an email from Kathy's account, likely could have been Doc, regarding an order, telling me it was shipped Saturday and should be to me Monday or Tuesday!
In the midst of turmoil, injury, and a serious family event. They're still focusing on customers as well.
THAT is an American business work ethic. Damn, it brings tears to my eyes thinking about how bad Kathy is likely hurting with those injuries.
:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:
Best wishes and hope everything turns out okay.
Prayers fron Northern KY.
Doc said she might be able to get out of ICU tomorrow, thank you for you continued prayers
Thank You, everyone for your support and prayers. I am sorry that I wasn't able to do any updates here, I was with her continually for the first 48 hours, so only smart phone. Here is the post that I made after I had time to replay this in my mind several thousand times since I was 30 feet behind her. I knew that the first 24 hours were critical. We were going to a new to us restaurant in Coridon, IN. It is almost on the State line of Kentucky and Indiana. We have rode there many times. On Saturday, July 7, 2018 it was going to be radically different:
I want to post this while I it is still fresh. At about 11:50 AM we were ryding to Coridon, IN. Kathy was in the lead on the RT and I was about 3 car lengths behind her. The road was raised and there was a 8 foot bank on our right and a a 20 foot bank on the left. There was a bunch of trees back a ways from the road on the left. A pretty large deer bounded up ahead of her and crossed ahead of her by 20 feet. Suddenly, a second jumped up from the right side and before it landed, the RT and it hit right at center mass of the byke. As soon as they hit parts started flying off. The deer was thrown to the left and Kathy flew off of the Spyder to the right. What happened next was a miracle. It was like a big hand cupped her and laid her down while in the air. She rotated in the air so that she was flying through the air sideways at 50 mph. When she hit, it was like a hand had clamped her arms and legs to her body. She hit and rolled 5 or 6 times and came to a stop. The byke went to the left, jumped the hill and landed upright in the trees. Later, when we went to get some stuff off it it was still upright and running. I am here to bear witness that God is here and does answer our prayers. We try to pray before we ryde any day and we did today also. Bad things happen, but without God watching over us this outcome would have been much, much different. Praise God!
And then this 24 hours later:
“Thanks for asking. Broken ribs both sides, breaks in right foot, deep cut above left eyebrow, no internal injuries or concussion, no surgery. Please keep praying.”
Then, today they moved her out of ICU. She is now in a lower tier called Progressive Patient Care.
Best trauma hospital in the region. The ambulance driver told me that I needed to obey traffic laws and I wouldn't be able to speed, run red lights, and stay up with them. Obviously, the guy had never seen a Daytona before. It was 41 miles to the hospital and I was right there when they backed in. Guy just shook his head. I figured PD could ticket me on site to save time, but no one did....
Thanks again for the prayers, everyone! I will be able to update my often now that she is getting out of the woods. Wait until you see the pictures of the RT. Pretty sure it's totaled. Frame looks bent. That was one heck of a byke and I firmly believe it gave it's last saving her life. It and God!
WOW, what can I say, sending prayers. I'm a paramedic/ff and I would have a very hard time watching that, prayers to both of you.

Glad she is on the long road to recovery .:clap:

Prayers for a speedy recovery. As mentioned in the update there is no doubt that the hand of God protected her.
