I am getting ready to purchase a Harbor Freight Tag Along trailer.
Question #1 -
The wiring harness od the Spyder ends a 4 prong square plug under the left luggage compartment and the trailer has is a 4 prong flat connecter... What do I need to put them together, I do not want to upset any "applecarts"??????
Question #2 -
is for those who removed the trailer hitch when they are not using it.... Exactly where and how do you remove it?????
Thanks in advance for any guidance......
Got this info from another spyder rider. You can build your own with the parts found on ebay. The website was lionparts_powersports They called it Hopkins 11147975 4 Pole Square Set With shipping was less than 10 bucks. This worked very well.
Better deal click on link.

You can buy the other 4 pin adapter at walmart or auto store and build your own.
I'M THINKING THIS IS AN IDEAL SOLUTION

The four square plug is available on Amazon Hopkins #11147975 four pole square set for $6.40. I replaced the female end on the wiring harness because I have the Harbor Freight trailer and also have a tent trailer that I haul. This way I can change trailers with fewer problems. Most trailers are wired with the flat plug. I had to do some quick changes coming home from Spyderfest. I picked up a trailer for a friend with messed up wiring to bring back. Ended up buying a set of magnetic trailer lights and spliced into the wiring harness on the bike. Now I can hook-up either way. Your choice on what to do.:dontknow:
:agree:.....With the Amazon plug as He got........But I would just ADD IT to the trailer wiring END and leave the FLAT FOUR there also......This way you can tow it with the Spyder or your CAR ....................just a thought........Mike
