:welcome: :congrats: on your find! :2thumbs:
How many miles are on the bike?
What condition is the rear tire in? (Pay close attention to the center section of tread...)
Has the prior owner had all of the updates performed on it?
(Get the V.I.N., and have your favorite dealer run it for you...)
Good Luck!
There's plenty of life left in it!!
Now...
What have you found out about why it is being sold?
Is it a private sale, or through a dealer?
If the latter; is it a Spyder Dealer?
All good advice from Bob.
2012 is a good year and there were not any problems across the board on any models.
The RS seems to be pretty much an iron clad vehicle as far as very few, if any, problems.
Vehicle history is important. A dealer can double check that it was serviced properly. With 5K miles, it should have had break in service (at 600 miles) and it is now due, or should have had, a recent oil change/filter service. For low mileage vehicles, I still recommend a fresh oil change/filter at the start of each season.
Tires on the 2012 should last till about 20K plus on the fronts and 15K plus on the rear tire. In other words--your tires should be looking almost like new. There are those that say tires over three years old should be changed out--that one is your choice.
Let us know what you decide. If you become an buyer, please post some pictures.
Enjoy the ride! Let's see some photos if you decide to buy her!
