Has any one ever back fed their battery maintainer through a USB port?

Most battery maintainers come with a pigtail that attaches to the battery. A lot of dealers install one and run it out into the frunk. Makes it easy to plug in with the frunk open.
Or the bike!!
If you've added power ports for heated clothing, you can backfeed the battery charger through them if they're wired (and fused) direct to the battery.
I never thought of any of this. Thank you
USB ports supply 5V of electricity with a maximum current of 0.5A. Most trickle chargers are about 15v @ 2A. You're just going to melt the system down if you attempt this. Go with the pigtail that comes with most of these chargers, direct to the battery.
FWIW we use the heated gear ASE cable.
Maybe that will help?
I plug my battery maintainer in the back trunk cigarette lighter outlet...
I have a cigarette lighter outlet mounted on my handlebar attachment bolts, wired straight to the battery. And I plug my battery maintainer into that.
