Could be.
Here's a link so you can familiarize yourself with the code and possible solution.

Or, see your dealer.
I have ordered an oil pressure switch hope that will fix it can’t afford the dealer at this time. My wife would hurt me lol
Gotta ask the obvious:
Have you checked the oil level ??
Yes I check every time I ride
I am still waiting on the part there are no dealers near me unfortunately
2008 same thing here happened. However the code you posted doesn't make sense - comes up "Cylinder 5" malfunction!! :)
The new oil pressure switch fixed it. The oil light would not go out when started. Engine was running smooth so I knew it was a false reading and not real. If this matches what you see the oil unit will fix it. Actually it was a VERY common issue for the 2008!
Pro tip! The old sensor and new sensor have different socket sizes. I had to go buy one. Don't remember the size though!
Steve
cheapcycleparts.com has them lot cheaper than dealer. Never buy at dealer, 100% ++ markups. can am 420256912 (google it) many places have it! $15 or so cheap fix!
The oil pressure light never came on just check engine at start up I replaced the oil pressure switch and that fixed it now all I have to do is replace the gear position sensor and I will be ready to ride again
