Anyone tried the Can-Am Passenger Seat bag? (Not the rack bag)
Just wondering if it's worth the money?
Not exactly beating around the bush, exactly what I was hoping for!
No way to attach it to the seat instead of the grab rails to avoid the fuel removal sequence? That would really be a pain on a long trip. http://img8.exs.cx/img8/7969/noanim.gif
I used to have one and it was actually quite nice. I found I only had to unclip the forward clips for fuel and it had a shoulder strap for carrying off the bike. I sold it when I decided to get my bikersfriend bag so that I would have a backrest. Overall I think it was a nice bag and looked good on the bike.
Nancy uses hers a lot. Easy enough to refuel if you just unfasten front straps. She carts all her stuff to teach at school in it, which is quite a feat. Says it is easiest bag she owns (and that says a lot) for carrying down the hall to her classroom. It will even carry her laptop. Worth every penny to her.

What happened to your buddies trailer? That's where you use to put all your junk. :doorag:

This was the first accessory I got for my Spyder after I got it. I use it most of the time and think it is well worth the ~$95 I paid for it. I keep my rain gear in it and if I'm solo no trailer it is on the bike, two up no trailer it's in the trunk, w/ trailer it's in the trailer. ATGATT
DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD PIC OF THIS BAG ON THE SPYDER?
I used the bag for the first time this past weekend, when I stopped to fuel I only had to unsnap the front straps. It was great not having to open the truck to get my camera out.
Hi I’m Danny I traded my H-D for a 08 SM5 last week it has a Corbin seat since that is a two piece would the straps still have to be undone to gas up. The Corbin hinges at the back of the solo saddle. I will get some pictures of my bike when I get a couple of things installed. I have a J&M radio and am mounting a zuma 550 and XM radio. Also a new windshield and the murdered out pipe (carbon) the bike already has HID head lights and fog/running lights mounted to the front fender struts. I am also putting on the fender leds and signal lights from no magic. I have been watching this forum for a few weeks getting ideas. I think I am going to order the two way. The wind shield is the Cal Sci. Oh yah I also have the 4" risers and ISO grips and mini boards mounted forward.
This can't be my buddy...Wrong paint, wrong pipe, wrong wheels, wrong windshield, wrong pegs, wrong handlebar covers, no center tail light, wrong rear fender, wrong seat, no Corbin bags.
Nope, don't recognize that Spyder and trailer at all. Great looking Silver/Black though! :firstplace:
Hey, I've got a great idea! My buddy could buy me a Passenger Bag and surprise me with it! I can handle the install myself! :ohyea:
Got to something about that wardrobe though...
I looked at the BRP seat bag, as well as the tank bag and I'm sure they are fine, but I decided to go with the Cortech mini tank bag and the Cortech sport tail bag. They both fit the spyder well, and have plenty of storage for my needs. They are also much cheaper than the BRP bags. I paid around $66.00 for the Tail bag and $59.00 for the tank bag. I'm still able to lift the seat to add fuel to the tank. The bungie ties on the bag have some give to them to allow me to lift the seat.

I have a cargo net stretched over the back seat. I find it useful since it will hold down different size and shape items. The back seat can also even be used by a person without removal, but if you choose to remove it, it takes up very little room in the trunk.
based on this I just ordered the Cortech sport tail bag....over a $100 less than the Can-Am branded bag---thanks
Thanks for the nice pics of the can-am and cortech bags dltang & vtrider. :2thumbs: :spyder:
I have the passenger seat bag,use it most of the time.
You really only have to unstrap the clip closest to you to lift the seat and fill up.
I put the gas cap up under the seat to hold it up as I fill up.
I like to keep my cover in there. It also makes a great back rest.
Mike
I just ordered the Cortech Sport Tail Bag -- $54.99 + $6.99 shipping = $61.98 -- best price I found. Here's a link:

I just noticed the web page now says "out of stock. usually ships in 5-7 business days". I'm willing to wait, though, to save a few bucks!
Will post on how it works out.
