I received my radiator block and converter shields anything that I need to be aware of on installing? I read that you have to remove the lower floor pan, is this the one that everyone just leaves off after removing?

Hi are you referring to a 'block and shield 'that will divert the heat from the radiator cooling fan away from your right ankle and foot? I'm in central Florida and when I go on long rides the heat that gets thrown off on to my right lower leg can get quite uncomfortable. :yikes:
Thanks Ron
Yes, leave it off. I also left the left side off at my first oil change.

You can leave the bottom pan off, or what I did was use a 4" hole cutter and cut a hole to allow air flow. Lamont has shown though, that you are fine without the bottom piece on.
If think you are talking about an RS with the heat on your foot. See the Air Management System and Missing Heat Shield at www.SPYDERPOPS.COM.
The block off plate is for the RT.
I bought and installed this stuff on my wifes spyder. She says heat still there. Waste of money. Oh well. I tried. Never was bad on foot, just on leg. Same as before and yes, I installed correctly.
If it is the inside of the leg on an RS then it's a bad "Y" gasket and it gets real hot. I always tell owners to check that first.
Its so hot that the heat on your foot will not even be noticed until after the gasket is replaced. I have been there myself!
I will be very happy to give you your money back if you are not satisfied like hundreds of others are.
I hope I didnt sound like I was complaining. I have a very hard wife to please. I dont feel the heat. She just wants to ride her two wheeler I think. I threaten to give her :spyder2: away and she settles down. I dont have any problem with my 2010 RS. Sorry for whining.
