Not sure about the clock loosing time, but on the RSS, RT, and F3T that I owned, the clock gains about 2 minutes a week. Maybe someone else can help you with the loosing of time. Welcome to the forums.
That clock has never been accurate, and I just hope that the new version might be...
My clocks have never been very accurate (always fast). Seems that could have been straightened out by now.
The standard clock is so small. I mounted an analog clock on a dash mount ( like the one JT sells), works sooooo much better.

Hi SOlsenPHS,
Re: What would cause this?
In a nutshell, typical junk parts that Can-Am puts on these motorcycles.

My clocks are not spot on, but close enough. The big discrepancy is over the long winter sleep. Usually about 5 minutes off. The :spyder2:'s are attached to battery tenders from Oct/March-April for the big sleep. I just put them on the money after the first ride and they are usually good for the season--within a minute or two.
If this happens all the time for you--it might be a sign that a new battery is needed.
:welcome: to the club. I see its your first post.
JT I looked thru your website but could not find a clock. Did I miss it or are you no longer selling this item?
It's hereditary...just like every Spyder before it. BUT... you got a really funky stereo anyway.
My Spyder clock gains a little time but I rely on the GPS clock.
What's a clock?
Never mind. I Googled it. I haven't looked at one for six years :ohyea:
The clock on my 2015 RT-S is as useless as teats on a bull. Has been since day one.
Though I only use it as a reference, therefore never really knowing how far off it might be, someone explained it once as a cheap chip/part they could upgrade but don't. When I Ryde time is not important...:ohyea:
My clock used to be. Up before sun and in when the street lights came on, but I was a lot younger then.. Now I stopped fighting with the one on the dash xand just take the wife along to tell me when to home.
Mine goes wonky after winter hibernation. Usually off by about four hours.
I have complained about the cloak and the external temperature gauge, my wife told me I could have saved a lot of money if I had just bought a watch and a thermometer. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
