Frogg Togg Rain Gear

I have seen a lot of people on here say that Frogg Togg rain gear is the best, but what kind of FT gear do you use? I was checking this out since I probably need a rain suit, and their website shows 5 different motorcycle specific models to choose from. Any help would be appreciated.

The best way to buy a rain suit is to shop for the features you want. Many people do not realize that if you shop Frogg Toggs web site, you can mix and match jackets and pants to get those features. I mean, you can by a jacket off of set A, and pants off of set B. to get what ever features ( pockets, closures, hood,) things like that you might want. I've paid a lot of money over the years for some high end rain suits, but really couldn't be any happier with a rain suit than I am with my Frogg Toggs. Of course I'm not looking for a rain suit that I wear for months on end, in hurricane weather, just something that will keep me dry in the normal rainy weather days.

I have also used Frogg Toggs for years. Great packability, breathes well, and pretty rain resistant.

That said, make sure you pick the right ones. The seating positions make a bit difference. The sit up and beg position on the Spyder (most of them) will allow rain in the back and the pants pockets if you get the wrong ones.

No matter what type you select, make sure it has a hood that is permanently attached. I put up the hood under my helmet and it keeps rain from running down my back. Get the size you wear, plus one if you wear riding jackets under it. With the pants, get them with sealed or no pockets, the pocket openings leak.

Personally, unless you want the reflective, I would get regular non-MC gear. The piping is reflective, but also adds leak points. Maybe they are better today, but 5 years ago, no so much. As for packability and how they work on a motorcycle, the non-MC are just as good, but pack smaller IMHO and experience. YMMV

We have the Frogg Toggs Toadz version. Have been in the rain many times with them and have come out dry. Have had many other brands of suits, but the let you eventually get wet. Just my opinion.

We have been using FT's for 10 years. We also use them as an additional layer on those cold mornings, so keep that in mind while sizing the suit you purchase.

We also use the Toadz. I did an escort ride two weeks ago in the pouring rain. Only thing that got wet was my boots. One of the other riders with us had another brand, I don't know which. After we completed the dignified transfer, he stopped at a Cycle Max and bought a set of FT Toadz. Threw his other suit in the trash.

Been using Frogg Toggs for many years, the post that mentioned the hood is right on, plus I like the bib bottoms, it gives another layer of protection.If you have a Cabela's near you check out their bargain cave we were in the one in Rapid City yesterday and they had jackets for $17.
