Try pulling the cover off of it, and wrapping the foam in a plastic bag of some sort.
Put the seatcover back on, and ride through a car-wash!

Almost any motorcycle seat will soak up water...
It's certainly not just the Spyder! nojoke

This is a common problem with all motorcycle seats and has been for years,
If you were to pull off your seat cover you will just see FOAM so just about
all after market and custom seats have some kind of plastic over the foam
and then install the cover.
Here is why, in the film shown here notice the people are in winter riding gear
I am betting they left the Spyder outside all night while they were in a hotel room
nice and dry while the Spyder stayed out in the rain, the water will go right
through every seam and soak the foam.
If this ever happens to you remove the seat cover and let the foam dry out for about
a week check it every few days it will take time to dry depending how long it has been
drying and how wet it was.
The best thing to use on the seat after it is dry is thin painters plastic or
cling type food wrap. if you use a plastic bag, every time you get on it you will hear the
plastic bag krincle "is that a word" and make noise every time you move around.
The best time to use that plastic bag is when you park it and it
looks like rain put it over your seat, and or cover the Spyder with
a good cover.

Whatever gave you the idea that the seat was SUPPOSED to be watertight?

Its not. Seats on almost all motorcycles are not. If they were water tight they would not breath and that is very uncomfortable. Cover the seat when its left outdoors in the rain.

yeah, JC......That's why I couldn't understand the comment - "one have change his seat with the guarantee" ??? A dealer installed a new seat under warranty because it got wet?

All of our farm tractor seats get wet also - that's why they're hinged so you can flip them forward and leave them vertical whenever you dismount. Not only will most plastics that are flexible eventually allow seepage, but every sewn stitch that they may have is a portal of entry, no matter how well sealed they may claim to be.
