Here is a video from Finless Bob about installing a different GPS. While most of it will be meaningless to you he does explain how he wired it in so that it would put the sound over the speakers. Seems like it works just like the OEM Garmin.

Only if you have both the Garmin harness and Spyder interface cable (or facsimile) connected.
