Where is the best place to place a jack for removing the rear tire on a 2011 RT. Thanks

what jack you are using and how you are removing the wheel. If you are removing the lower shock bolt to save the tension and belt adjustment then you will need an atv/motorcycle lift. If not then a floor jack under the rear shock and mount will work. if using a bottle or sissor jack, I don't recommend them, place a block to span the shock and mount....

I will be using a motorcycle jack and removing the shock bolt.

Chock front wheels. Loosen axle nut. Take retaining clips off caliper bolts. Remove caliper. Support caliper so it is not hanging by hose. Put jack under shock. Take weight off axle. Remove axle. Remove belt from pulley. Raise jack to roll tire out. Replace axle. Put Jack stands under axle. Lower Jack until bike is secure on stands. Remove pulley and Cush drive rubbers, and axle spacers. Have tire replaced. Reinstall. Do not touch brake pedal or parking brake switch and be certain it is in neutral before starting process. Pretty easy with practice. Call if you get stuck. Joe

Using a motorcycle or atv jack, place the pads under the center rectangular frame rail towards the front of the bike. Be sure you are not pinching the exhaust and other non-frame components. You may have to raise the jack, check the balance when off the floor, lower and reposition it to get the bike to balance correctly.
