I am so amazed by how the Aurora Borealis can dance around in the sky... This is one of the best videos that I've seen of them... :2thumbs:

So, enjoy!

"The northern lights have seen queer sights but the queerest they ever did see,
was the night on the marge of Lake LaBarge I cremated Sam McGee"

I always liked R.W. Service On listening to the whole thing I notice Johnny changes the word "moil" to "toil" The original version is "by the men who moil for gold"

I saw many displays returning to base from MM II sites in North Central Montana. I have seen two displays here in North Carolina.

When my wife and I were stationed in Alaska we use to watch them from outer upstairs window. It's just amazing to see it!

When I was in Northern Quebec on a Caribou hunt (Just West of Ungava Bay); the lights weren't up in the sky. They felt as if they were all around us...
It was always the best light show imaginable!

I haven't heard that in yrs... Dad would listen to that the first frost of the yr. Guess it was his way of preparing for winter.

Never seen the northern lights. It's on my bucket list.

I used to see the Northern Lights during night shifts, flying on the SAC Airborne Command Post, an EC-135C aircraft. We'd launch from Offutt AFB, NE, and head north for an eight to 16 hour mission, and, when conditions were right, the lights would be out there to entertain us, through the long nights.

When I lived in northern Wisconsin, I would lay on the roof to watch. Mostly green, occasionally some red mixed in. On a good night, like Bob said, it looked like I was in the center of the display. Circled all around, even to the south. Haven't seen them since I moved to central Wis.
