I'm playing with woodworking, mostly sawdust, but once in awhile, something cool. I don't want a lot of money sitting around until I find something to do with it.

I've been looking into CNC, I have no idea what I would do with it, but I mess with a lot of different ideas/things. I found a nice CNC machine and the guy uses Autocad Fusion 360, which is free. I see that a lot of the machines come with VCarve.

Anyone doing CNC that can help educate me a bit more?

As a woodworker I spend some time on Lumberjocks.com There are some posts on cnc work there, but there are other sites dedicated to cnc's, including some on how to build your own.

i worked as a union electrician for over 35 years. i watched carpenters work with sheet rock all the years i was on jobs. but one day. i watched a cabinet maker come on the job, he measured and a couple of weeks later, he returned with a full wall of cabinets for this doctors office we were doing. ever since that day, i said that if i could do it over again, i would be a wood worker. i loved the work he turned out
