my center bracket on my windshield broke today,octane outlet of eastgate told me I have to buy the entire motor assembly for $600.00.i was hoping for a less expensive solution,any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks.

Hi Im In Australia And On our forum We Have A Guy Thats Made Up A Machined aluminum Pivot Bar With instructions And Special Wedges.
My rt ltd didnt have any issues But I Was Doing A Led conversion To Both Light So I Was nearly At The Screen pivot Anyway.i Changed It To Pevent Breaking while On A cruise.
His Forum Name Is Tripod, Search That He Might Be On Here.
Its a great kit.if your handy with Tools you Can Do It Yourself.

His version of the cam is 1,000% sturdier than the OEM. Ends up costing less. The shop installed it for me in a couple of hours! Get one NOW!

I currently don't have any possible for 3 or 4 weeks.

Maybe one of the guys on here can send (lend) you theirs that they are holding in their tool kit and you can replace it once I have them available.

Just a thought, so if anyone can help

Just a reminder from the "Do's & Do Not's":

Check your windshield brackets often:
They have been known to fail occasionally. The consensus is if you run with your shield "full-down" most of the time, it will cause undue stress on the middle bracket, which raises and lowers the shield. Move the shield up slightly off the metal-stop to avoid the potential damage. Keep in mind you cannot replace just the bracket. The entire lift-mechanism has to be replaced to the tune of around $600.
