Well I finally found a bike that draws a bigger crowd than the wife's spyder!

You all know that when I ride a bike and the wife rides her Spyder, she (well I mean her Spyder) gets all the attention (there is nothing I can do to compete with her ;)) but the Spyder, well there had to be something....

My totally customized VTX did not do it....
My perfectly restored 1969 Honda CB 750 came close, but did not do it....
My beautiful clean 1980 CBX gets some attention, but did not do the trick...
My mildly customized Suzuki M109 gets some attention, but no cigar...

The crows all gather around the Spyder, until today...

I will give a clue, it is from the early 70's... and it FINALLY drew a bigger crowd and more attention than the Wife's spyder...

Any guesses?

:2excited: and having fun with my new (old) bike.

It's certainly not any of the 22 I own. Wife's Spyder wins every time, although my 58 Simplex has turned a few heads.

While those bikes would certainly do it! Nothing that exotic. In fact this bike is stock except for the pipes and carbs it is restored back to original condition and paint.

The sound alone makes everyone turn and look.

I know someone will guess..

No, that was only a close second. People around here are used to it.

The 500/750 triple was..insane. Add alcohol to a already crazy dude and plop him on one(I m talking about a friend/roomate back in 74) and watch the fun.

1. He crashed thru a car dealers garage door doing a wheelstand and broke his forearm.
2. He went off the road while riding in a group of us and rebroke his forearm.
3. He did a wheelstand in front of a sororiety house at 3 am with out a shirt on, flipped over backwards and I got to see the worst case of roadrash I ve ever seen.

If you waved at him on the street and he recognized you..WHEELSTAND!

Purple paint job with "PLUM CRAZY" written across the tank. He was finally dropkicked out of the "club" never to return.

Thanks for drudging up the memories. I m making an appt with my shrink after I m done typing.:yikes:

First thing that popped into my head was the 500 Kawi!!! Those bikes were crazy, fast, and dangerous. Has anyone had a speed wobble on one of those?!!:yikes:
