I'm in the same boat. 95% of the time our new '15 RT-S will be ridden two-up, so we really need some preload adjustment capability. I'm torn between the Fox and Elka, and I think I would prefer upgraded shocks to just adding the preload adjusters to the OEM shocks. Can anybody with experience with both options comment on the relative merits? I'll be adding the Baja Ron anti-sway bar at the same time.

You could just change the springs at about $85 a spring, if you can do this kind of thing.

I had the Elkas on my 2008 GS
On my 2014 RTL I have the OEM shocks with Baja Ron Shock adjusters
The 2014 RT handles as good as the 2008 GS did

I had Elkas on my 2011 RT-S, and they made it ride so much better. If my 2015 RT-S doesn't ride as well as my 11, I'll be getting them again!

Which end of the machine? Also, the Elka stage numbers simply show how many options the shock(s) have.

You are nearby, our 14 RTs is setup with a pair of Fox Podium fronts and a Bajaron Swaybar. It is a good setup. I was fortunate and found the shox discounted. I am not a Fox fan and would have preferred Ohlins, am less a fan of Elka though.

Just my experience and opinion.

looking to put the elka's on the front. I have put a call into Elka. Awaiting answer.

Just heard back from Elka. Yes, the stage 2 will fit 2014, 2015, and 2016 RT.

One of my Elka's is leaking fluid with just 12,000 easy road miles....I'm disgusted with them. I have pounded the crap out of many a dirt bike and snowmobile and never had a seal leak on a fox shock or stock unit for that matter.

I expected far better quality from this manufacture considering the light duty these shocks get on a street machine.

Very timely thread. Thanks for starting it. The front of my 2015 is dipping as I turn and is not nearly as flat as my 2011 was with the preloads. I am also considering the BajaRon sway bar. I am also wondering if the BajaRon front shock adjusters would get me where I want or do I spend the extra on replacement shocks? As I ride 2-up most of the time, I am not looking for high performance in the corners, just a consistent steer through them without feeling the tire grab as the front dips.
