Cynthia has been wanting to go to Bryce Canyon for months, since last year in fact. It is only 150 miles south of us so she though she might like to do it on the Spyder RT. Well one thing led to another and it just never happened, until she retired this June 30. I asked her what she wanted to do for the 4th now that she is retired and she decided we should go to Bryce. That sounded fine to me but she said she didn't want to go down by US89 could we go thru Antimony instead? Sure I like that road anyway.
We headed out Monday morning about 9AM and promptly run into a parade in Gunnison. The Police directed us to a route around the parade and we were off. Several miles down the road on UT 24 we get into Koosharem and sure enough anther parade. I didn't think Koosharem had a big enough population to put together a parade and still have people left over to watch it but they did. There is no way around thid parade so we joined it but the people were less then enthusiastic when they found out we didn't have any candy to throw. We switch over to UT62 then Ut 22 into Antimony and another parade. I didn't think anybody lived here either but their parade was bigger then Koosharem's. And they offered us candy and Ice Cream. We wave at the people and they waved back and we went on down to Bryce Canyon. Lunch at Ruby's Inn first and another surprise nobody was there. Half the tables were empty and I didn't have to fight for a parking place. Nice lunch then in the park. No lines, drove right in. We had decided to ride to the end of the road then take our time coming back. Rainbow Point is the last stop and one of the most favorite. In the past I have had to circle for awhile to get a parking place. Not today there were many places available.133460

I live in Bridgeport Calif.
We have a population of about 400 people
On 4th of July there are thousands of people here from every where for the celebration
Rodeo
home town parade
mud volley ball
street venders
and more
and the longest fireworks display I have ever seen. This year it was about an hour and a half long

Been to these areas many times for many years. From Cedar City to Torrey, Zion, Bryce, Boulder, Bryan's Head, Henryville and everything in between. My most favorite places in the US of A. Those attending the Red Rocks Rally this Fall will see what I mean. Thanks for the pictures.

Come to the Red Rock Spyder Rally in St. George Ut the middle of September. Bryce and many of the other parks are close by. I love this area,I have been riding it since the late 60's and it is still new and it exciting.

Thank for the post and pictures. We have been out to UT, however not south of SLC. Will make out that way for the Big 5 within 5 years.
