My wife has 2010 RT-S and it's time for new front tires, the ones she is currently running are showing uneven wear on the outer edge....What is a good replacement tire instead of factory tires??? She only has 9K on these...We replaced her rear tire last fall...Is there a better choice with better longevity than the factory tires??

If you have uneven wear on your front tires you should consider having a laser alignment. This will save you from having that issue on your new tires. With the 14" wheels you have several options available you just have to choose what is most important to you. Longevity, handling, cost...

RE: Front tires. Sounds like a possible alignment or tire pressure issue. Even the OEM Kenda's should get about 20K. Uneven wear is a pretty good sign of alignment issues.

6 year old tires should be replaced anyway you look at it, get a Lazer Alignment for sure.

...get the front end laser aligned - then new front tires. I don't remember members having negative comments on factory front tires - but there are other choices out there.

OK Who does laser alignments??? It's definitely an alignment issue.....Also, as for new tires looking for longevity/wet weather as my wife doesn't ride that much....

I went with Bridgestone Potenza's. The factory front tires are ok at best. I felt a noticeable improvement in handling with the four ply tires. My fronts had a lot of thread left when I changed them, but like Joe said,I wouldn't run tires that old on a motorcycle or a Spyder.

Agree with the others. You need an alignment. Here is a laser alignment dealer locator:

http://spydercomfort.com/dealers.htm

For the 14 inch front tires, we recommend and install the Bridgestone Potenza tires in the stock size. There are not many good name brand tires in 14 inch sizes any more.

When we had our 2011 had some uneven wear which an alignment cured, but the last change went with Michelin Defenders in a 14" size with large grooves, and rolled and wore exceptionally well. Had over 30 K miles on them and still great tread when we traded.

I am running 185/60/14's from General and they fit fine. You can even get Altimax rt-43's in that size.

The smallest 14 inch tire they have is 175/65-14...........Personally I'd look at the Kumho PS-31..............Mike

Like Mike said, it was the closest size, and fit fine and rolled SMOOTH..... On our 2015 we just put on new Kumho Solus KH16's. Balanced up better than the OEM Kendas and rolling smooth so far. Only have a couple thousand miles on them so far, but liking the ride:clap:
