Got rid of the hot foot

I had put on a set of Rivco Highway Pegs because I like changing foot positions when riding. Right foot lined up right beside top opening and didn't take long to really heat up the right foot. Thought about it and figured I needed to keep the air off the foot when there bu didn't want t block either opening as I like to move around. Ended up buying a poly cutting board at Walmart for $1.88 and cut out a 7" tall by 6" wide piece. Drilled it to attach and painted it black. Put it on the next day and went for 100 mile ride. Hot foot gone. Happy camper.

I resolved most of the heat, while my foot was on the floor board by installing the 2014 right-side grill and block-off plate. But I have the same highway pegs as you, and don't use them much in the heat of summer because of the heat coming from the upper grill. It seems as though you found a a workable solution. :thumbup:

I have the same highway pegs on my 2013 RT. The more I look at your picture (from this angle ;) ), the more I'm beginning to think that your solution may ultimately do the best all-around job - especially since I already have the lower hole blocked. :thumbup:.

Thanks for all your replies;) I was looking at all my options,the one thing I really want to do is remove my right lower splash guard...if that's what its called???? Not sure how I lift it but looks a bit wild so I left it alone but it keep buggen me!!!!Any one here posted any pics or videos I look on youtube but no luck:bowdown:.Can someone help???? Ranks....:joke:

Here's how I lifted mine for an oil change... two car ramps and a floor jack with a block of wood under the center frame.
