Who the hell designs these things.
Was greasing my 13 RS what a nightmare.
At least the engineer could have put 45 degree fittings on there
:gaah:

Arthritis in my hands didn't help. That is where they need a tech engineer someone who works with their hands and not brain

It must be that you do it with ease after you remove the frunk assembly. Many have changed the zerk fittings to 45's...but agree even by 2013 they could have gone to the 45's...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

They don't think about the consumer. They think about how qucikly parts can be installed on a frame, and how many spyders/hour can be built.

It was designed by the same engineer that designed the location of the rear wheel valve stem.

:agree: And don't forget: Roger pointed out that "Jean-Luc" also designed the RT's mirror attachments... :banghead:

May be easier Gene.

But pull the front trunk to grease is crazy to say the least.

Your right Ann on the stem

Here is what I got at a local auto parts store. It's called a 90 degree grease gun adapter. With this, you just slide it onto
the straight type grease fitting until you feel it click into place and then give the gun a couple of pumps and slide it off. You
can reach all of the fittings. you will have to turn the steering one way or the other to get all 4 fittings on each side. Just connect your grease gun to the grease fitting thai is on the end of the adapter and you set to go. Took me about 5 min to lube the front suspension on my 2011 RT,:yes::yes:

Why are there grease fittings? I haven't had an auto with a grease fitting on it in decades. :coffee:

The adapter is about 3 in. long and 3/8 dia. You just push it on to the fitting from the side, This thing is great for greasing other
things that have grease fitting, lawn mowers, u-joints and any other miserable fitting locations.
