Cove OR (near La Grande) I've been riding for over 50 years. I felt the need for three wheels as the bikes got too heavy to pick up and I wanted to pull a trailer for camping. I have a 2014 RTS (cognac) and love it. Dick

2015 ST Black Metallic
60+ years :yikes:

Started with Doodle-bug, Cushman Scotsman, Triumph Woods Cub, BSA Gold Star, HD 45 Flat Head trike, Yamaha YZ250, CanAm 2008 GS, and now the 2015 ST. Enjoyed them all, each was different, and for those that complain about their :spyder2: they should have a Woods Cub! Spent a lot of time kicking the starter. The "Oldies" were not as good as we remember. :joke:

Illinois Valley (Cave Junction is nearest town). My wife has a 2010 RS. It all started with a 2010 RT which logged 37,000 miles in two years before we sold it to someone in Brookings.

Central Oregon, Crook County, just out of Prineville. I've ridden since May of 1963, when I got my Honda 50 sport. So, 57 1/2 years so far, road/trail/enduro. Petrol Blue 2020 Spyder RT. The Spyder reminds me of riding my '77 Yamaha tripple with a Windjammer and lowers. Still a newbie, but goin' good so far.

SE Portland. Began riding legally in 1952 - I'll take the 5th about the years prior. See my sig. 2017 F3L purchased from S-K in Feb. 2019 as a leftover new unit. Member Spyder Ryders of America - Columbia River. Check out their FB page. I love doing my own maintenance and upgrades almost as must as I love riding it.

Hi, I live in Grants Pass, and I ride a 2019 Ryker Rally, red on black. I am 78 years old. I rode primarily dirt bikes up until the 70s when a broken collar bone, dislocated finger and more cuts, burns and contusions than I care to recall prompted my lovely wife to declare "The bikes go or I go!" Truthfully, she wasn't quite that adamant, but she got her message across. Consequently I rode mainly sports cars up until about 2010, then nothing. But last year I opined that it might be nice to enjoy some top down, wind in the face motoring once again. Surprisingly the wife said yes to a sports car. Her idea of a "sports" car and mine differ somewhat. What we ended up with was HER Mazda Miata MX-5 GT RF. Lovely car, but truly a grand touring car and not a sports car. I pleaded and begged (some even said sniveled) until she said I could get something of my own. That something was a Lotus 7. Unfortunately they have become quite scarce, and even after several monts of waiting, nothing appeared within 500 miles.

Then one day I happened to catch a front view of the Ryker. Hey, I just had to go check one out. The rest is history. Drove home with it.

And I don't regret the change at all!

I can sympathize. In the 60s and early 70s I was well into sport cars. Starting with a TR2 and evolving to Alfas. Even the family car was an Alfa. I raced, rallied, gymkhana'd, slalomed - you name it. That paralleled my passion for motorcycling and had one until it was time to switch to 3 wheels, but I never lost my love for those Alfas, as you can tell by the photo. Yup, it's an Alfa Romeo Can Am Spyder!

I still fondly remember the Super 7s beating the pants off of the Cobras and Vettes at the local Autocross...

Greetings—
I'm in Redmond, ride a new-to-me 2015 ST Limited. Road bikes for 12 years, now retired and balance is crummy. Went to three wheels and now the wife will ride with me. Leaving soon for 12 days in Washington, Idaho and Montana.

While I miss riding a bike, the lean and fun in curves, I'm liking the Spyder more and more. Only complaint, only major complaint, is the lousy fuel economy. Oh well. Having my wife with me is worth more than a few MPG.

You WILL like your Spyder more as you progress in the riding skills it takes. After 67 years on two wheels, I consider the lack of leaning a new sport. I also find riding our Spyder to great exercise, as I ride rather aggressively.
Re gas mileage; That's the price of admission for the fun show we get. Think what Canadians and Europeans are paying and you'll love our gas prices. I loved the pre 2021 prices better though.

My wife and I live between Medford and Jacksonville in southern Oregon. I've ridden two wheelers for decades, having 4 different Suzuki Vstroms and usually one other bike in the garage for something different the last 20 + years. I sold my Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor last summer, and noticed a 2021 Ryker Rally on craigslist at the local Yamaha\Can Am dealer in Medford. One look and quick test ride and I decided this would be my "something different" for a while. I retired 5 years ago, my balance and strength to hold up tall heavy bikes isn't what it was, so this is something I can keep and enjoy for years to come. It came with some nice accessories, and I went a little crazy with the black Friday sale and Amazon, but it's beginning to look like I'll enjoy this a lot. We have miles and miles of gravel forest and logging roads here, so the Rally is a good choice for our area. I'm happy to find this forum, thanks in advance for all the information and help.
