Recently purchased my F3, and after seeing several threads on the Shad Luggage, I wanted them for myself. I went to http://www.powersportswarehouse.com/ to purchase my 2 up shock, and decided to see if they had the luggage as well. They did and at a pretty big discount!! The total for the mounting kit and the bags came to $539.99, before tax and shipping. I'm in SC, so I'll have to pay tax, but if you're out of state you probably won't.

The part numbers are:
219400721 - Bags
219400728 - Mounting Harware

Enjoy, and ride safe!!

Wow! 135 views, and only one like and one thanks! Tough crowd! :roflblack:

Seriously though, just bumping the thread so others will see and can take advantage. Not everyday you come across $180 savings. MSRP is $720. Can't wait for mine to come in!

When you get them and install them send along some pictures and a review of the install and how they compare to the other outrageously expesive alternatives...

Do a search on Shad Luggage in the forum and you can see pictures and read all the positive reviews from those who already have them!

Ok, will do. Like Godlover mentioned, there are a couple of threads around that have pics and impressions, but I'll try to upload some as well. They let me know they had to order them from BRP, but I should have them by Friday! Can't wait...

Here are the pics I promised. To be honest, I didn't really like them at first, but I realized what I didn't like was the way they looked with the shad logo and deflector on the side. It gives them an odd shape. I removed it and used the shad sticker to cover one of the screw holes, and dark gray tape to cover the others. Still considering what other options I have, but they look better this way IMHO, and work flawless.

Still don't look as good as stock, but they only cost 40% of the stock ones, and hold more. I like the look of the Corbin better too, but $2,000 for bags that look good but don't function properly is too rich for my blood.

Hope this helps others! Ride safe...

Nothing to do with the Shad, but I am curious about the position of your Xcreen, I was wondering how tall you were and how well it works for you?

I'm 5'7", so not that tall. Some would say short! :)

But the xcreen works great for me. I had the helmet buffeting without it, but it's non existent now. I also used some spacers on the windscreen to adjust the angle, and position it more upright, instead being angled directly into my helmet. Will try to get a pic of what I mean. Hope it helps.

Here's a close up pic of the windscreen. You should be able to see the spacers between the shield and the inside brackets. Just went to Lowe's and got longer screws and nuts to mount it.

Looking good! I'm with you, there are other options but for the limited amount of use I can't see spending the money. Same reason I bought and modified my Harbor Freight trailer. Even with painting and all my mods I have maybe $450 in it. I figured it would only get used three or four times a year so less than 30 days. Why not use the money saved for other upgrades or more trips. Any chance you could post a couple of more pictures, from the rear, from the front (a arm area back) and maybe with the bags off? thanks.
