I would like to mount 2 flags on the rear of the bike. I suppose the rear fender mounting bolt holes would be a good place. Has anyone mounted any car flags to their bikes and what was your outlet for the flag(s). I want to mount the American and Christian flag in time for Memorial Day.

What the heck does a Christian flag look like? I wasn't aware that religions now have flags...does it have a fish on it?

hmmmmmm...

I assume that you want to display the American flag because you are a patriotic person and so you would want to have a look at this link.

Hope this was helpful.

When you reply to a message, or create a new one, look down below the "Reply to Thread" box to "Other Options". You will see a box marked "Manage Attachments". Hit this button and you can browse your computer for the picture file, and upload it. The file will have to be within the size limits shown. Hope this helps. Resize a copy first using a picture editor if need be.

Spyderbob3 mounted his flags this way.
First pic. is his brackets - He bolted his in so vibration wouldn't loosen bolts
Second pic. is where he had to file away about 3/4-1" but no more - there is a gap on side where metal fits into. Bob says does not hurt watertight intergity.
third pic is flags mounted (he has American flag & POW Flag). can't see them very well but they are there.

While at my local accessory shop, Renegade Classics, I saw a license plate mount flag holder by Rumbling Pride

http://www.rumblingpride.com/PDFs/Ultra_CCM_brochure_2007.pdf

http://www.rumblingpride.com/Ultra_Cruiser_Class_Mounting_System.htm

Thinking about getting them for my Spyder.
I think I would rather get these than cut away parts of my spyder to make things work, like the brackets above. Plus, not every one has the sport rack on their spyder.

This would work for all spyders, with or without the sport rack.

I have been working on a flag mount that goes behind the license plate. First I made a plate to mount the tag to. I got four clamps from Lowes, 2 3/8 x 36 aluminum rods, 2 collars with set screws to keep flag at desired height, 2 acorn cap nut to put on top, 6 1/4 x 20 bolts 4 @ 1/2 inch and 2 @ 1 1/2 Inch. the four 1/2 attach to flag pole and the license plate and mount. the 2 1 1/2 inch attach the license plate to bike. I will attach some photo I have other photo if any is interested. I have less than $30.00 in this project.

Hope this works

Do you mean something like this for the American flag? Attaches to the top bolts of the license plate. They are very long lasting. I have about 1200 miles on this set, and is my first set put on. I am sure you could remove the American flag, and glue a Christian flag onto one of the flag holders.

I have the tall ISCS dual mount flag pole. May not be the cheapst, but they sure work well. they come with one American flag. The top of the "poles" unscrew some you add or change flags. they have been on since Spyderfeast last year with no problems. I use "Fry edge" on the trailing edge of the flags. works great. I get it at Wal Mart.
I prefer to deal with vendors on SL. I got some bad deals using other sites.

They are indeed the perfect setup that I have seen. My US flag is still going strong after 25,000 miles. Just has to replace the USMC one. The edge that accepts the pole came apart.
